Wonderful. Just my cup of tea. Very high quality. Just what one would expect from the MC.

I must admit, like one of the above posters I always approach these sorts of posts hesitantly. Coupled with the fact I don't really like this genre of music, I have to say that it's actually pretty good. I'm not gonna be the target audience, but I wasn't too keen on the vocals, at least the style of them which I guess is integral to this genre. The music though was fantastic. I always listen closely to try and spot a wannabe from a player with talent, and the players have talent.
With the volume thing, as you've said I suppose it's what the audience expect, but something is generally considered loud in contrast to something that isn't. This one doesn't have any let up till 2:35 and that lasts like 4 secs! Re quality...128k WMA is about equivalent to a 224-256k MP3, which is very high quality, I'm no audiophile so I can't perceive any signs of low quality perhaps, but at this quality I just don't think they're there. Good work T, all the best of luck for your band. I'm gonna go play some trance now! Will be interested to check out future releases however. -------------

Veering quite off-topic here, but WMA is consistently one of the worst audio codecs out there, at least among serious codecs.
Even the latest version in multi-pass doesn't come close to the latest L.A.M.E. builds in quality, except for streaming-bitrate (80kbps and below).
The best codec right now is Ogg Vorbis-AoTuV for 128 and above, followed closely by Nero-AAC in VBR and L.A.M.E. 3.97, with WMA a fairly definite 4th.
Back on topic, I wish rockbox played WMA so I could listen to the new track on my iPod. Do link the EP when its out, I'm buying it ----------------

Thanks to everyone for the feedback. It's greatly appreciated... and I've passed all of it on to the guys. If anyone is genuinely interested in picking up a copy of the EP let me know and I'll contact folks once it's released... which should be late next month or early to mid March.
As for the discussion regarding formats and quality... here are few a things regarding the recording. Our engineer runs an IZ RADAR with a Mackie board. Most of the mic pres are outboard. I ran a studio for years... and I was blown away by the warmth of the RADAR systems... as compared to Pro Tools or some of the other digital formats. The drum room (where I spent most of my time) is a tiny rectangular room with absolutely no dampening qualities at all. It's easily the loudest room I've ever recorded in... but the natural reverb and ambience of the drums came out very nicely. Tuning my drums took longer than I had expected, as the room exacerbated even the smallest anomaly in tuning. However, with some patience and a great engineer, we were able to come up with a fantastic drum sound.
Again, thanks for the interest... and the responses both on the forums and in-game. I may post one more song off the EP... and leave the last two a mystery. We'll see.
