HORY SHEET!! That rocks! Vocals could be a bit deeper for my taste, but if punk voice and heavy guitar was what you were going for then it works... well.
What's the band name? I'll be sure to borrow the songs with express written consent. --- --- --- ---

Probably because, unlike most of the top 'bands', Tov actually wrote the lyrics and composed the music w/ his band.
Way to go, Tov - sounds great man!

No reason to apologize. Musical preference is entirely subjective. I couldn't blame you for not liking spaghetti either... could I?
This track is a song our band has been working on for a very short time. We've only been working together for about 7 months... but this song represents the direction in which we've been wanting to move. I've been playing punk rock for 17 years now... and while I wasn't particularly keen on continuing to play it after a short break from drumming... it wound up sweeping me away again.
Any feedback is greatly appreciated by all of us... and I'll pass it on to the guys.
(Latex is not entirely correct... I played a very small role in writing the music. Our guitarist worked out the main body of the song... for the most part. The lyrics... well... that's a story for another time.)

Nice, it rocks pretty darn hard
One suggestion: please dont master with the final volume that high. It doesent sound good, it just sounds like youre one of those bands whose executives think that mastered louder = louder on radio.
Ie, full of distortion and clipping... it ruins the music
..sorry, overloud mastering is one of my pet peeves in modern music ----------------

First things first:
I'm more of a heavy metal type so this kind of music is not really what usually listen to.
That said. I really liked this piece! You got some interesting things going and I wish the best for you and your band.

Personally, i'd like it if it was more metal than punk (I prefer rock, but if it's has guitars or a keyboard i'm probably for it), but it's still not bad. It is recorded a bit too loud though, yeah, I had to turn down my speakers for this...and I had been listening to Rage Against the Machine
Still, it's better than most songs I hear in that genre, would be nice if you posted the lyrics. Also, make sure you vary your range. I mean, maybe not playing jazz or anything, but i've never heard a good band that didn't have at least some variation. Basically, don't keep making the same song over and over.
All in all, keep up the good work, i'd love to hear another song from you guys sometime!

The volume war taking place in music production is a long standing problem... created almost entirely thanks to broadcasting... and the desire to stand out front.
I ran a recording studio for many years... and while I realize this mix is a bit 'hot'... I do not hear any offensive clipping or other problems normally associated with a mix being too high. Much of what you may be hearing is a product of certain effects... either on some of the up front tracks... or on doubled tracks.
The bass has a mild overdrive on it, as do some of the vocal double tracks. The guitar and drums are entirely free of any post-recording distortion/clipping (although the primary mix had the toms way too hot... and clipping was obvious at times).
While I agree that the mix is loud... I certainly do not find it offensive. And, unfortunately, in our genre of music... a quiet mix is often frowned upon.
Thanks to everyone for the feedback... please keep it coming.

Oh, I'm sorry, I wasnt clear enough - writing comments when sleep-deprived ftl - I just meant that I dislike hot mixes because of that. The track itself doesent seem to suffer from it much if at all, and the volume is not an issue, thanks to the wonders of replaygain. Gues I gave completely the wrong impression.
I'd like to hear it encoded in something a little a better than WMA 128 though, which is for a trained lossy-encoding audiphile is a little painful - especially the way it mangles snares & guitar high notes.
Oh and, where can I get more? :D ----------------

We have other material... but, as of this moment, it is poorly recorded. We're working on recording some of our other songs... or possibly a full length CD... so once we finish a song or two I'll let you know.
Thanks for the kind words!

Haha, I'll have to pass that comment on to our guitarist. That's his favorite part cause he gets to mindlessly freak out on stage.
I think my personal favorite are the short interludes inside the verses... lots of fun to play.
Thanks again for all the feedback!
