Hey I got money to burn. If there was a small armor rep that I could run constantly on my Ishkur I'd go for it. Sadly there's no such mod.
Devs play as Caldari!

More like Gallente... dude, just fly your ultra pawnage Domi and quit sulking...
Ohhh believe me I will!
But until then I've got something to whine about.
Just give me a fusking 160hp per cycle small rep at 30 activation cost and I'll shut up.

Ok I did the math and assuming Repair Systems skill at lvl5, that's a 4.5/sec small rep cycle.
With that in mind, a gisti-a shield boost equivalent for small armor rep would be the following:
29 activation cost 128hp repaired
The best we have now is Coreli-A (correct me if I'm wrong) 40 activation cost 104hp repaired
Damn $*&^! Caldari!
But that's ok, I'll show you Caldari fools once I've got a nos/ecm/stabbed Domi!

At least, when using armor repairing, a small rep II is an effective module, while a small shield booster II is utterly useless.
Since prices for gistii boosters are out of whack, CCP could remove that (overpowered?) module out of the game and make the small shield booster II worth using.
QFT.
The stats are the small sb II are pretty sucky compared to the small rep II. Ditch the gisti and make the SBII actually usefull.

Originally by: Guillame Herschel Armor resists can be made a lot higher on T1 armor tank ships, than T1 shield tank ships. Also, I think the resist holes in T2 armor tank ships are smaller than the holes in T2 shield tank ships.
So with armor better able to resist damage than shields, it stands to reason that the best armor repairers do not need to repair as many HP as the best shield boosters.
That may be true for the larger ships, but how many assault frigs and intys actually use mods to boost their resists?
As an example, my Ishkur has 3 lows: (1) small repII, (2) micro aux, (3) magstabII.

Originally by: Viktor Fyretracker with a price tag over a billion how many honestly have Gist
My two corpmates who fly a Harpy and a Hawk both have one... and they don't cost over a billion, they're only like 100mil or so.
My only real problem with them is that you can run them forever without the need for nos/cap rechargers/cap boosters. Basically they can sit there and tank my Ishkur's tech2 drones + blasters constantly. Granted they get a bonus to thermal which gimps my blasters, but still... I'm outputting damn near 200dps and it can be easily tanked with a single gisti-a.
