This is a very sad day in EvE. Probably the sadest day ever.
It¦s not just the malware that will cause much trouble.
The whole forum order is destroyed.
The problem with this is, if he gets banned then he will come back shortly after.
And now there is such a forum spam macro in the internet.
What will happen if multiple hacker with multiple trial accounts will spam the forum?

There is no way the mods can move fast enough, unless his account is deleted.
Anyhow I am looking at the link he has, anyone know what it does, I suspect a key logger.

Its very easy to create one, even for a novice programmer. I thought the forums had a limit to how many posts one person could do in a certain period of time. Appearently not. Im guessing they might put one in after this incident.

I agree it is indeed a sad day.
Yes the devs now have a very sticky issue to resolve,
Do they 1) continue the status quo and allow trial accounts access to the sites.
2) Treat all Trialists as potential spammers and not allow them any posting privilages.
I would personally err on the side of caution and go for 2

Damn relax m8. Hes just one of a countless number of retards that do this to forums every day. Forums will adapt to him and his moment of fame will be forgotten in a blink of the uncaring eye of the internet and its peons (us).

if anyone downloaded it, run virus scanner and delete the thing, normal tinfoil reactions should apply here:
Password changes etc (but make sure the keylogger is off your system first), i may even install a new eve client, just to be paranoid
could better qualafied people help out and give better advice :)

I am sure it's a trojan horse to capture the login data.
I downloaded the ZIP and checked it by AntiVir. No known virus there.
The ZIP contains:
php5ts.dll
hack_eve.exe
config.ini
README.txt
The config.ini:
your_login = Login
your_password = Password
nick_to_hack = Nick_Hack
new_pass = New_pass
This smells like: please insert your actual user/pwd to change to a new hack-login, or something like that.
I sent a petition to CCP to investigate that case.

I¦m playing for 15 months now and this is first time I see this on the EvE forums.
So this behavior is all but not common.
And I don¦t think that the forums will adept.
This forum software was already outdated 2 years ago.
Just see how the mods work. They are totally powerless.
They are closing all thread by hands and are just removing the links.
What aabout all this discussions? Closed for everytime?
When I¦m looking for something, the first thing I do is a forum search.

Don't panic if you have clicked the link. It's not a keylogger or a trojan. You are safe to delete the file and continue as normal.
It is however an extremely illegal program and if you run it you are likely to lose your account and do some jail time on top.
It is highly illegal. It's definately traceable and anyone that runs it is going to show up on CCP's logs like a flashing red beacon.

Maybe someone could create a trial account (I know nobody EVER uses trial accounts, so this is stepping out on a limb) and give the program a try just to see what kind of results it gives.
Maybe then we can know what this guy is up to?

I've already pulled the program apart and know what it does. Suffice to say all you need to know is that it's highly illegal, traceable and DOES carry a long prison sentence in most countries for using such a h-a-c-king program.

it will probably be in the temp folder, order the files by date and it should be near the most recent
