After 1 week i lost my first ship to Concord. I was doing some missions in which you had to collect certain items which dropped by rats. Didn't know anything about splash damage and accidently hit some other guy with the splash damage of my missiles.

My first day in eve consisted of doing 80 jumps without autopilot or visual aid to see what system to jump into next. I was using a map in my IE to navigate  I was then shooting some raid in a punisher with 125mm rails ( they was the only gun avaliable  )

There were no Cruisers in the game when I first started.
The top tier Caldari frig was a gunboat named Kestrel.
A few weeks later they introduced the Osprey. My corp mined for a week to get one - then they rolled back the server :p
After sometime they made my lil kessie a missile boat and I was devastated.
Shortly after they relesed this new cool and awesome ship called MERLIN though.
But it cost a fortune :p
When they first introduced the Moa it was a police vessle and we speculated if it would ever be possible for players to fly one.
CCP also mentioned that soon(tm) they would introduce player built stations and titans

Getting my executioner pwned by rats in 0.6. . .
Warping into a belt and killing the rats only to be told by a p*ssed off guy in a coercer that he was "tanking" them. . . Not knowing what that meant or what was going on but thinking I must have done something really bad. . .
Shield tanking Amarr ships. . . 
For some unknown, strange reason, orbiting asteroids while mining them, something which I find utterly utterly hilarious now (especially as it was me in a sigil with one Miner I and my mate in a caldari frig of some sort both orbiting the poor confused roids), but which seemed perfectly natural at the time. . .
Finally, just being really really really really excited.

Hey Siigari, it’s a small world, I too was mining in Avaux back before it became a war zone, and learning that PvP was a little more complicated than pressing F1-F8 when my desi got poped by a pirate in a frigate.
Shortly after I moved back to Stacmon and passed the time before my corp found a new home by baiting ore theifs with cans of veld of omber then warping in from a moon and blowing them away with me celestis. good times.

Well...tommorow is one week for me...
Bought (and lost) my first Merlin yesterday, when a corp mate and I got too*****y and got toasted by some nasty NPCs.
Made my first production run of Antimatter charges for my rail gun today!
I'm digging that Eve assumes that one has a brain and that one will need to use said brain in order to succeed. It's very refreshing after some other MMORPGs I've played.

So in 3 years you will be thinking back and remembering how the current Eve looked and feeled. Take screenshots and save them... I wish I had some from when I played in 2003 myself.

Refreshing to see a new player realising quickly that this is a different game altogether

Probably running missions for the Republic Fleet in a rifter with 280mm howitzers.
In my first trial I was really clueless, accepted courier missions that I couldn't complete with my frig later and stuff like that until I found out how the agent system worked. Tutorial was a bit worse / almost non-existant those days.
In my 2nd trial I knew already what I wanted and started earning money for a rifter from hour one.
Somehow funny now. I was really 'grinding' isk in lvl.1 combat missions for a few hours just to get enough isk for my 'beloved' rifter. That was my first real goal and I was proud, when I had it. Although it wasn't really grinding, because I enjoyed running missions. Strange.

at 1 week I was chaining rats in a condor at a spot my agent gave me back when they handed out rumors of pirate activity before there were agents. I chained arrogators until I had enough for a merlin. I remember mining in a condor back then. Then some nice git invited me out to pf-346. xpohx was nice enough to send be back to my cloning station so i did not have to fly the 20 odd jumps. I remember fitting a h-50 on a tristan to I could fire torps. Trying to npc in a 0.4 in a blackbird. lasers on merlins.
I miss torps on everything.
I remember fitting an osprey w/ 2 h-50's w/ torps, 3 ecm, a mwd and an armor tank and going on pvp ops. I did manage to jam a megathron. I remember everyone thought I was insane putting cruise missiles on a kessie, the ammo was worth more than the ship.
I was happy back then.

At week one, I was still flying around in my Velator. I hadn't really grasped how you got in to ships other than the newbie ship or a shuttle.
And I didn't know anything about skill training, i.e. I hadn't been doing any (the tutorial wasnt as nice back then, and even so am not sure I ever opened it).

siigari- Rono is still around in CAS, but he still hasnt given me one those lovely Black Deaths.. :(
and way back in time.. way, way back.. I got my first cruiser (exeq) and bummed around yulai scavenging from the continual and bloody corp-wars. Lots of drones left in cans back then, when drones used to be a lot bigger.. still have a huge can full of the lil guys taken in way back when.
