Interesting note: in the last day or two, since Tuxford posted that BCs and command ships will receive a boost in Kali, prices on Astartes have gone up from around 130-140 million to 200 million or more. What with more people skilling for them every day (and yes, they are worth the time), this print is gaining value. I wouldn't part with mine, that's for sure.

Sorry for the off topic, consider it a bump, but I hate reading these threds.
Unless you played this game from very early on and had loads of research agents running to get a set of T2 bpos you really canot compete unless you spend a fortune on selling GTC.
There is simply no way for newer players to get the isk to get T2 bpos only T2 BPO owners have such licences to print isk and so the cartels continue.
Oh well, back to the very rich getting even richer

All you need is dedication, you whine because other are richer than you, but you have to take into account that the richer guys have worked for it, its not that if you get a tech 2 bpo you will suddenly become the best player in eve,
A lot of the old tech 2 producers are really hard to reach, but last year i and my corp started investing in small tech 2 prints, 365 days later we make 30+ bils a month from 12 bpos that we have, and we where NOOBS, we wanted to get into the dance, we did! that kind of isks is enough for us
Stop whine and if you are a new player probably tech 2 is not for you yet train up your skills and work isks in your wallet, when you ll have enough to dance as well do not be afraid of

That's what I thought, until I actually got into one. A well-skilled battleship will easily take one down, and 2 or 3 bc's will also. Sure, they have crazy DPS, but its either tank or gank. You need a sleipnir if you want the I-Win CBC

This just reflects one of the current major problem in eve.
To few t2 bpo's! Some t2 item prices are just plain silly atm.
Its getting to the point where its cheaper to buy faction items in stead of some t2 items.
Plus, its almost inpossible for new players to get into t2 production because nobody is willing to sell they're bpo's.
And last but not least, pvp is changing into just ganks because of this. Who is willing to loose a ship when the fittings on it are worth 2-3 times more than the ship itself?
What is the affect? Bigger and bigger gangs which turn into fleets wich cause lag.
So, to fix some of the lag, SEED MORE T2 BPO's!
p.s. Talk about stealing a thread.

No particular post really.
60 Bill. was my limit as well.
But there are some circumstances one should take into account.
Being an empire based production corp. limits your activities.
There¦s only so much you can do in empire , no matter how big your wallet is.
After reaching a certain point there are almost no opportunities left for investments - of course, this greatly depends on your game style and corp. structure.
We¦re a small corp and time management is very imporant to us.
The second point is the availability of such high profile BPOs and the prospect of getting them in the future - which seems very unlikely .
I named a couple more reasons in the market discussion forum and I¦m sure they¦re nothing new to you .
Why I changed my mind ... maybe because I realised the real impact of it all - stagnation.
Which is rather strange because this is the main reason for us to look into new business models - hence my new badge
