I just started a corporation and was browsing the options and I clicked on "Impounded" under the Accounts tab, and it's stuck. Nothing loads, the little arrow in the upper right-hand corner just spins and spins. I can close the window, but I cannot edit any other corporation options now. I cannot view applications, modify people's options, or anything.
Is there anyway to make this work correctly? ---------------------------------- "I am too connected to you to, Slip away, to fade away. Days away I still feel you, Touching me, changing me, And considerately killing me." - TOOL, H |

Scott, Ive had the same problem, and have raised a petition with CCP which as yet remains unresolved.
To make it worse, I had 90% of my corps minerals in a station that has become impounded but i have no way to be able to access the impounded tab to get them out!
I will post something when CCP resolve my petition.

I've had the same thing happen too. If I remember correctly, it EVENTUALLY populated the list, but it took a long time. Actually I clicked on it by accident yesterday and got stuck again and noticed that each time I warped or docked it closed the window, so when I opened the corporation window back up it started all over again. You could try leaving it open for a long time if you're mining or something and hopefully it will resolve on its own, but who knows.
Finally yesterday I just logged off and back on and was able to click on a different corporation menu item so I could use the rest of the corp functions before it started trying to load again.
In a kind of related question... how does a station become impounded anyway???

By not paying the rent for your office in time? Happened to me once. I just rented a new office and there was all my stuff back in the hangar of the newly rented office.

If anyone actually gets an answer on how to resolve this problem, please post it. I do not seem to be having any luck with downtime correcting the problem.

Edited by: Gyrn Fzirth on 07/11/2003 04:53:00 Edited by: Gyrn Fzirth on 07/11/2003 04:51:17 deleting the .\cache\settings\user_xxxxx.dat file resolves the issue but also eliminates a large portion of your settings. I think the relevant portion of the file is the corpassetstab entry but I've been unsuccessful in editing the file to remove the entry. It looks like the file is in binary form so a normal text editor may or may not be able to hack it.
I'm going to try a hex editor and see if that gives me any additional insight. =============== Killboard: http://www.celeskills.com

no dice. Even opening and just saving it with no modifications prevents eve from working properly.
As a note, if you want to play with this file ensure you make a backup of your original. If you end up with a file called bogus_stream.marshal in your cache directory, delete it and restore your original user_xxxxx.dat file. =============== Killboard: http://www.celeskills.com

weird. I minimized the corporate window, then brought it back up. This allowed me to select a different tab. Problem resolved for me!
It's a feature, not a bug *grin* =============== Killboard: http://www.celeskills.com

Hmm, minimizing the window worked for me as well. Thanks for the tip...although I find it odd that doing such would correct the problem.
Thanks again. "A shadowy ichor is beginning to extend its tendrils into society." |
