More baffled how someone with the forum experience like you could fall for that obvious "trap" / clever way of ISD to stop a lot of shiptoasting on the forums and still think it's something official.

If you want to know the future you just have to look in the past. CCP has a long standing history of having horrendously ******** dumb ideas (most of which we never hear about because the CSM beat some sense into CCP before they could go public). I'm 99% certain the subject is being discussed internally where not all parties use the "No, that's just dumb. Stop talking about it".
While it IS a trap to some extend there's 17 billion other subjects he could have made a similar thread for, but didn't. That thread is used to centralise and gather all the views, ideas and whatnot. So I'll say again: the very fact that said thread exists should, knowing CCP's history, cause concern.

Sure, there are plenty of ideas that are dumb, luckily most of them never even make it so sisi, let alone TQ.
That thread was made for 1 obvious reason:
So ISD has an easy way to moderate the forum, they can lock all other threads under the "redundancy rule" before they even get out of control
p.s. they did the exact same thing with the "cloaky camper" threads, for the exact same reason.
Bundle all the existing "cloaky camper whine" threads into 1 ISD made one, and lock any future threads refering them to shiptoast in their thread. So that, you have 1 thread about something stupid, instead of 1001 different threads about it each month/week.

Sure, but until they come with an official announcement (aka: Dev-blog and/or Dev created forum post) it is all rumor mongoring by players.
And, who says they look at it, and come to the conclusion that it is "working as intended".

Waiting till it's official and then perhaps voice one's opinion is a terrible idea because by that time you'd need the persuasion power of losing 30% total subs to change CCP's mind on anything, especially when it comes to game breaking stuff like this: once the decision is made and is set in motion it'll happen no matter what.
So no, I'll kick and scream and cause a ruckus. You might find it dumb and moronic, perhaps it is but I'm not going to chance it.

Yeah, cause you alone will change anything  .
If you want to make an impact and have any form of leverage, run for CSM.
If not, voice your concerns and opinions in a mature way, in a correct manner. (p.s. threatning to leave EVE when then implement feature "x" or "y" isn't any of that - nor will it have any effect on CCP's direction. There are plenty of changes in EVE that I do NOT agree with in the past and present, but it's their game, their company, their income, so they get to choose what is best for them. Don't like it, then don't play it, simple as that. Nobody is forcing you to pay the sub and play the game. Just by your post: If they implement this, I will unsub, you made yourself just as dumb as all the other dumb people who feel they are entitled to something - prime example on page 1: The guy who got scammed and blames the game).
