i have slight problem i just started the game and had no idea that it was against the rules to buy isk.
i had a new character and was trying to give him a a good start up. after all i received a eve email offering the sale of isk to me for a price. so i did well after they checked the logs pow.....now i am -114 million in the hole and i dont mind getting slaped but now i can not buy sell or do any thing..
can any of the community help me out if you have some isk to spare. and this character is only 18 days old i had no idea i could not do that.....i dried to ask them to reset my money to 0.00 so i could start over. all they had to say was go ratting....well i just want to put this out there so everyone knows or put it out there again....to refresh to the eve players that this can happen if you do not know about it

you can just make a new char... 18 days is not too late to start a new one.

And read the rules before you play the game, Buying Ingame currency on ANY Game is against the rules..

if you are determined to buy and not earn your ISK, go buy some GTC's and sell them ingame
as for flat-out begging? usually doesn't go down too well here, people might think you're A WORTHLESS, CREDIT BUYING BUM THAT WAS LUCKY TO ONLY GET THE MONEY TAKEN AWAY FROM HIM WHEN HE DESERVED TO HAVE HIS ACCOUNT BANNED. Of course, not everyone will think that, just letting you know :P
note: buying ingame money for real-world money is against the EULA of just about every online game i can think of (except Second Life) - just FYI

Make a new char
and don't buy ISK this time :)
And if you really need ISK then go buy Game Time Codes and sell them for ISK...

That is not entirely true, but in general it is true for the vast number of MMOGs.
And yes, begging for money on the forums when you are 18 days old isn't the best thing to do. Honestly 18 days is nothing in the world of EVE, the mistakes you have made will serve to help you when you re-roll.

it was more of a post to warn people.................i did not know this like i said i just started i might just start another character....i dont know.........and i know know it is against the rules.......as i put in my post....and im not begging i just said if they had more money then they know what to do with i could use some.....im not begging.....but thanks

When you start the game you have to read the eula and accept it. It probally says somewhere that its not allowed to buy ISK for real money.
Did you actually ignore the eula totally or what? (as most of us...)

Easy fix then:
Buy an ETC (Eve Time Code) online.
Go to the selling forum
Sell timecode for 160m. Problem solved.

See and this is the big problem with isk buying/selling. People arent properly informed that its illegal. There should be a popup like you get with aggression that you can disable, that says "BUYING IN GAME ISK FOR REAL WORLD CASH IS ILLEGAL!!11one"

I find people who buy money in games with real life money to be quite pathetic, Why dont you actually EARN your isk? where's the fun in taking the easy road, especially when you just started......
Besides which, to me it's just as bad as cheating, in fact, it IS cheating, when you think about it.
Learn to make your own Iskies, and enjoy the game for what it is, from the beginning!

I think if he has trained and specced the char well it's worth saving, and hell it's easy to get a GTC and sell it to get the cash.

If you want to buy isk, do it the game time card style, you'd be better of learning how to earn it ingame though. You can't buy isk forever.
Also what happens if you tire of the game?, money down the tube imho.

Yes, it is legal. Go to the sales forum for more details. There's a sticky post (From the DEVS) on how to properly go about it.

Eve is rather funny.
Buying/selling timecodes for isk and if people accept that as fair, is pretty hypocrit, if they at the same time say: that someone cant sell his time for real money directly :P
Oh well, its a way for the eve company to get more money, but if you are against isk selling/buying, you shouldnt accept the timecard stuff either, lol.
Hehe, strange ethical behaviour if you accept the 1 thing and not the other.

You have a really bad name anyway, make a new toon. People already dont like you becuase you buy isk, and now people dont like you becuase your begging for isk.
