This thread is to discuss new fittings for the Deimos once the upcomming changes are in place. Sure we all want to see more speed/maneuverability as well but the fittings will be pretty much the same either way.
New PG / CPU: 950 / 350
With electronics V and engineering V:
1187.5 / 437.5
So to start things off here's 2 i have come up with. I have yet to work out a plate setup but here is a dual rep setup and a balanced tank/gank setup:
Dual Rep:
HI: 5 x Heavy Electron blaster II 1 x empty slot (small neut??)
Mid: 10MN MWD II 20km warp disruptor Medium Electrochemical Cap Injector
Low: 2 x Medium Armor Rep II 2 x EANM II Expl Hardener II Mag Stab II
Balanced:
Hi: 3 x Heavy Ion Blaster II 2 x Heavy Electron Blaster II 1 x Named Med Nos
Med: 10mn MWD II 20km warp disruptor Webber or Cap recharger
Low: Med armor rep II 2 x EANM II Expl hardener II Named Damage Control Mag Field Stab II
(Or could drop an EANM or damage control for another mag stab)
Please discuss and let me know if i have made any math errors with these setups.

and a HAC needs a plate/extender or it does down really fast, which was basicly the deimos no1 problem
Anyone want to write up a plate setup for the new stats?

Nos "IMMUNE" is a vague and innacurate way of describing it. However, the fact is that on a vagabond even when completely nossed you can still fire your guns and possibly kill whatever is tackling or nossing you if you can hold out for as long as your large extender lasts. And you probably have stabs too, which are also immune to nos.
On the other hand, effective use of drones can be good for getting out of sticky situations, and drones are immune to nos.
Overall i would say the vagabond still wins by a long shot for resistance to death. But the deimos has other advantages: drones, way higher DPS.
This boost in fittings does not turn the deimos into a solo pwnmachine like the vagabond is, but keep in mind gallente has the ishtar also which is highly effective for solo antics. The Deimos was already quite effective as a DPSer when gang support was present, and now its DPSing and tanking abilities have been brought more inline with where they should be to be truly effective. So overall, i would say this strikes a far better balance for gallente HACs then we had before.
I would still like to see that agilitiy and or mass boost tho... would make it fit it's role much better.

Mila - thanks for the contribution. I especially like the 800mm plate + injector setup.
one thing i have to interject (koffkofftuxfordkoffkoffkoff) is that while i am excited about now having viable plate setups, and plates/extenders are a huge advantage for tother HACs, fitting 800 or 1600mm plates on a Deimos is going to make its already annoying mass and agility problems even worse.
