As of right now, unless CCP announces something at fan fest, the answer is no.

The only two things that can play valk are the Rift and PS4' Morpheus.

Well its coming to PC so i dont see why it wont work with HTC vine or other VR headsets unless they lock it out. It might not have native support but should be able to use it or mod it in. I just want to know if there is going to be some DRM to stop other VR headsets using it.

No idea, but the devs have said eve valkryie is oculus rift exclusive. So unless that changes, the easy answer is no.

 http://www.pcgamer.com/eve-valkyrie-is-exclusive-on-the-oculus-on-pc-at-the-moment/
"We are exclusive on the Oculus on PC at the moment," O'Brien said, "but we're not ruling out other platforms in future. We're making a 'VR' game, ultimately."

Well if Valkyrie has a deal with Oculus Rift to lock poeple out then im done with Valkyrie/Oculus Rift. I want a open VR headset and the only way i see this being exclusive is with drm. VR headsets are not consoles they are monitors it would be stupid to play something on one monitor but cant on another.

 GAME FEATURES

"EVE: Valkyrie has been built from the ground up to harness the very latest advances in virtual reality technology, immersing you in the action like no other game before. It will be available on a wide variety of VR hardware, including Oculus Rift and SonyGÇÖs Project Morpheus."

 Source

IMO, it's safe to say that, you will be able to play Valkyrie on pretty much any VR device that can handle the technology, within 6 months from the release of EvE Valkyrie. Probably within a month or two on HTC Vive, since it's hardware standard is on par with both Occulus and Morp.

I wouldn't worry to much if I were you

That was in a press interview last year.

If you bought a Vive I would assume you would have to purchase the game separately.

An excellent example of why pod killmails are the best feature to be implemented in EVE Online since warping at zero. |

It could also just not have the support built in for the headset. But in theory, you can prolly get drivers and things to make it work with any headset. But i'm sure after launch they will add more support, we just need to see what will happen...

Now if oculus would ive a damn release date... i want valk.. like yesterday
