I do agree with some of what you say, but insurance we have already gone round and round about. It my be possible to make a small amount of isk on insurance, but there are much easyier ways to make money.
About 90% CONCORD kills are bugs or splash damage of something. Insurance helps take the sting out of poor use of Concord in carebear space. Prior to insurance this was mining Sim for most small corps, now once small corps get in battleships they can actually have fun. Aparently you don't like that, you must have a ruff life. Leave Insurance alone, it's the one thing that combat do-able on a regular basis.
BTW, I ask a few of your corp m8's, they say you never mined a day in life
Quote:
INSURANCE Problems: ItÆs possible to commit insurance scams and the insurance always pay out. Solution: The amount need to be slightly lowered. But more importantly, the full amount is not to be paid out: * The amount paid out is to be the amount multiplied with the sec lvl in the system the ship was lossed. * No insurance is to be paid out if involved parties involves a member from a corp you are at formal war with. * No insurance is to be paid out if involved parties involves CONCORD. Ie, if you loose your ship in 0.0 space, in formal war, or in acts of piracy, you get NO INSURANCE MONEY AT ALL.
YouÆre not supposed to use anything you canÆt afford to loose. Hence , if you canÆt afford to loose a battleship you should be in a cruiser or frigates. That you pay a monthly fee does NOT give you the right to always be in a battleship.
The insurance system is what makes EVE counterstrike in space. Since you donÆt loose any money from loosing your ship, all you loose is your modules. This means that none use expensive modules in combat. Hence, almost all rare items are useless (except heavy modulated beams and heatsinks, which are used for chaining). It also mean most players use Scorpions (see unbalanced ships and skills). This makes PvP boring. Everyone use the same ship with the same equipment. This also means that wars are useless. You canÆt make a player loose isk. All you can do is disrupt his mining operations to make him grow slower than you.
... you will see more and more marketing which in turn will bring you more players to torture. |
