if your not satisfied, you can make your mark in a much more telling way then forum moans. I dont have lag. none of the people I talk with are having these "OMG I Cant play! ZOmg! CCP Aer Cheatings Me!" lags that people are moaning over at all hours. move on. and your stuff, can I have it?

This weekends lag was unacceptable and I'm sure that almost every player in eve experienced lag of some sort.
For the time being trial accounts must be stopped and no implmenentation of KALI this year until new hardware has been installed or they find that implementing KALI will reduce lag.Anything else could result in disaster in my view.

If it doesn't affect you, you don't need to reply.
Maybe having a whine isn't the most constructive way to solve the issues the OP is raising - but hey, its damn frustrating to find yourself in a position where lag is making everything take much longer (especially if you only have limited free time to play).
I'm quite new to the game and at the weekend things were running so slowly that me and some friends couldn't even fire back at the people shooting at us - I think our corp lost 4 ships in total. Yeh, we chose to petition it instead of writing on here and CCP are looking at it for us - but hey - I don't see what is wrong with the OP looking for a sympathetic ear from fellow players!
What makes these threads so unreadable isn't usually the OP, its the barrage of criticism that flies in after. We all play to have our own fun - and its frustrating for anyone that gets that interupted through no fault of their own. Maybe we all deal with it differently, but given if i mention Eve to any of my non-computer-gaming friends i get blank stares, i don't blame people for coming on here for a chat to people that understand.
Its just sad that we can't be a bit nicer to other players.
Besides, no one forces you to read or reply to 'whine' threads.

The other day, there was only 8 folks in system...and for no reason what so ever we all got disconected from the game.
I avoid empire, and JITA like a plague! So I dont have waiting to jump issues...
I lost my password, and the petition system being as it is. I figured, I wont ever get a responce. No it went the other way! E-mails flew back and forth till the problem was resolved and my account restored.
I have lost ships due to lag, and got them back x3. Flying Dutchman III is still parked in the hanger. (Its haunted)
Except here...I have NEVER had a problem with CCP staff, they have bent over backwards for us time and time again.
And I like this single universe we all live and play in.
And did you play EQ in the begining? Try walking from one side to the other!!!
No I dont see much wrong with this game...matter of fact I would like all ships to have jumpdrives, and do away with the gates....Then you would have to slow boat out to the hyper limet before jumping.

90% of the devs are ok except this one that unlike the others if u have a corp spy and they wont dock cause they livei n space u ask the devs plz remove this toon they are using exploit to remain in corp (ie can only kick members that are docked) when all others say yes we can do that thanks for youre time - odd - i just went over his head and elevated it (was sorted within 5 minutes)

I would have to agree,
As much as I DO like this game, its hard to convince your friends to play, when I myself am so unhappy about it.
If you have played for 2.5 years tho mate, dont quit!.. take a break, play some other games out there..
When you come back everything will smell of roses and you will keen to play again.
I just think 2.5 years worth of skill training is not something to throw away likley.

You know your favourite food manufacturers puts "Improved Recipe!" in big letters on the packet, and you end up thinking "but it tastes the same except now it has a bitter aftertaste"?
That's because by "Improved" they mean "It's better for us. We now get to make these things for a penny cheaper per unit, making us several million a year".
Now I remember some Dev Blog, feigning an interest in the community, saying something like "The dragon code improves things a great deal". And ever since that patch was deployed... how was your aftertaste?
I imagine they're having just one big laugh over at CCP just pushing to see exactly how poor an experience they can make it and we all stay like faithful hounds, thriving on the promise that it will actually get better.
And no you can't, I already decided who is getting my stuff when I leave. Which will be the moment a decent competing product arrives. And besides, only been at this two months and never bought any isk off ebay, ergo I don't have a lot.

It's not anywhere near coming to that though. And bear in mind that people leaving over lag will in itself solve the lag problem for the people willing to stay. Its hard to avoid busy systems now. There are not many places where there are few people. Even the POS I use 10 jumps in to 0.0 space, has 20 people at a time in it.
So what would you rather they did?

If they didn't have the patience for a bit of travelling, then they really didn't have enough patience for eve.
Some people not liking eve is really not a problem. Do we say Unreal Tournament has a problem because some people prefer Rome:Total War? Of course not. Eve will not, and should never try to, every single person who plays computer games. Now, if noone liked eve, that would be a problem. But we are clearly not in that situation.

There's always a reason. Local in your system is a very, very bad indicator of load, because you are almost always sharing that node with many other systems. As you can't tell which other systems are on the node with you, you can never really be sure what the true load on your node actually is. My first guess would be that you were unlucky enough to be on the same node as a fleet battle which took down the node. From my experience of the sisi stress-tests, the right situation can cause a node-drop without any significant pre-drop lag.

Seriously if they don't like eve tell them to f-off tbh, eve is the best mmorpg out there and it DOES require a particular taste, sense of paitence.
And guess what? This is my main.

The Devs have also stated that the problems encountered with Dragon have counteracted those improvements, which is why they've pushed back Kali to give the core team time to address them.
What basically happened is that they put a bigger engine in the Dragon car, but the brake got stuck half-on. Once they get the brake unstuck, the car will fly.

i agree with a new server seperate hardware, its time for newer players to get a chance of avoiding the big mess tranquility is at right now. a new server for new players is a welcome addition.
if people want to join tranquility they re welcome. if not, they should have the option to play on a newer server, i mean chinese players play on TQ.

Some of the posts are interesting and make valid points.
I dont believe that CCP are just sitting there laughing. I do think they are working on the problem. What CCP is going is an achievement, but there must be a limit of what the hardware and software can do. Perhaps we have reached it?

As I tell everyone- if you don't like it, don't play it. If th lag bothers you that much, take a break for a little while and come back later when it might be fixed (CCP keeps your characters warm and safe for you while you're gone). No point playing a game you don't enjoy.
Personally, the lag doesn't seem to effet me that bad, and CCP are working on fixing it. So I'm happy playing as I always have

Not that bad, sofar i only had 2 events where i had to wait a few sec/min to log on, i also know the reason (it beeing the system i reside it atm)
So i'm hoping with some more patches (Kali? WTH IS IT? ) and perhaps some more new yarrrdware it will get better.

I used to get anoyed with travle times but there not really that bad.
Think about your generic mmog, you have to walk around to get to places. In eve, you only have 30km per system to get where you're going, otherwise you just warp somewhere.
Best plan in eve is to stay around the same general area you work/play from, either that or try and get hold of some jump clones.
