Originally by: Nizbah Me and my two friends will be trying out our first lvl 4 mission this coming weekend when I finish hull upgrades 5. I would just like to post our plan and ask you guys if there is anything we should watch out for.
I'm going to be flying a dominix with two t2 large armor repairs, t2 hardeners and a lot of nos and cap recharge.
My drone skills aren't that great, so one of my friends is bringing his tempest with 1400mm howies.
The last guy will have an exequror with a few remote armor repairs, tractor beams, and drones.
Any suggestions on fitting changes?
Probably sounds like over-kill to most of you lvl 4 missions runners, but we're newbs
Have light drones for interceptor / frigates. a buddy with bs guns is going to be no help with those frigates unless he's got small or medium drones. Frigates can be dispatched in short fashion with 5x tech 1 light drones or 5x tech 2 medium drones, but tech 1 medium drones are not so hot vs frigs.
Get your drone skills up asap as you continue to do l4s. It's a dominix's best attributes, besides its dashing good looks .
I would recommend skipping Enemies Abound l4 as a newb gang, and like others have said Mordu Headhunters l4. Your friends will be targetted for extermination by the guristas side of World's Collide l4 in the first zone called the 'warzone'. World's collide is a rare mission where taking friends actually makes it harder to do with aggro patterns. Be aware of that and perhaps skip that one too (it's only offered by low sec agents anyway).
Your t2 hardener / t2 large rep tank should be extremely solid by itself. Get your cap recharge up, you want to run one rep constantly and add the second one in sparsely for added repairing. Your friend can continue to run some logistical support for you until you guys gain experience.
Always have the tank warp in and aggro first. He should align to warp out in case things go wrong. Others should follow behind closely, align to the same object, and you all should insta-warp out if things go wrong.
You will find that you've overtanked most l4s setup this way, and eventually more and more logistical support should become added damage/sec to allow for faster mission completion. Your bounties are being split 3 ways, so later on (after getting experience with the missions) you guys really will wanna hustle through in order to allow everyone the best possible income.
That's all I can think of. Fly safe. Krav =====
