5x 220mm AC's 3x Med Nosf ============= 1x 10mn MWD 1x warp scrambler 3x Large shield extender II ( or a combination of LSE and multispectral ECM) (LSE tech II and good shield skills are pretty much the backbone of this build. If you're new to shieldtank, I'd advise going the ECM way, since it WILL matter very much) ============= 2x Gyros 1x RCU (or more, according to your fitting skills) 1x LADAR warded backup array (gives you better ECM resists)
I can say it's a very durable build, albeit kinda low on the DPS. Still, combined with 3 nosfs, it's enough to break most equal sized ship tanks, and can also tank sentry guns for long enough to kill indies, frigs, scoop the loot and offski!

Or just swap the extenders for ECM..better "tank" actually unless you have multiple persons against you.

I can't think of any reason to take a cyclone into pvp rather than a rupture, unless you have the leadership skills to fit a gang module. At BC 4 you have 6.25 effective turrets on the cyclone vs 6.0 for the Rupture at Cruiser 4; you get an extra utility high and a boost bonus but at the expense of vastly inferior mobility, and over three times the price.

Agreed. Still, more HP, more slots for Gyros and more mids for utility are a slight upgrade imho, but ONLY IF money is absolutely not an issue.
Maybe with the 20% agility bonus it becomes better.. we'll see

That'll only enhance its role as an oversized Vagabond.
Fill up those lows with nanofiber, boys.

Well, there's always the classic "Kill every last one of them" setup.
5x 220mm scouts 3x assault launchers (maybe heavies, if they fit. Been a while)
5x Whatever (This isn't really the point of this setup, but I recommend a MWD, scrambler, web, and ECM if your shield skills suck, or a LSB, 2x hardeners, web, and scram. Use the second set only with the admixture of prayer to get on your target in the first place)
3x Gyrostab II 1x DCU/Fitting mod/WCS (God forbid)
Try that out. ---------------------------- Remember, killing a Goon isn't murder. They don't have souls. |
