Thanks! Slow???? Thats to far of an understatment. How about non-existent. Lately EVE has sucked because of all the lag issues and all the old bugs coming back. This really needs to be sorted out as it is affecting thousands of people who pay to play this game. If you went to a bank to withdraw some cash and you asked for 100 and they gave you 20 and said we will give you the rest soon we're a little slow at the moment, you wouldnt be happy would you? Well thats my rant during the 8 minutes of entering game

I am behind a SOCKS proxy and I have to use a special program to run EVE called Sockscap. Normally it works fine. Tonight I cannot get beyond the 'Acquiring bulk data' loadup after I get connect. I can see how many people are on the servers, so it isn't my end (I think). Are other people getting this, and is it a server issue?

We understand that you are working to fix current problems with the game. We understand and support this. But we do not understand why you sacrifice time and money on developing futher content on a structure that is too weak to support it. Problems: Module activation There are increasing delays on module activation. I remember when I first started playing this game, your afterburner ignited instantaniously when activated. Now... you wait atleast a few seconds. If you are in the "right place" it never ignites. This is just an example. I am sure combateers will tell of frustrating moments when nothing activates before its too late. If at all. Some wont fly anything larger or more expensive than a ceptor because its easier to replace. Look at your petitions... look at the reasons for people filing them. Gates and queues What are the points of creating "queues" at gates? Other than silently accept the fact that you as a game developer dont know what else to do to avoid you million dollar server nodes from dying. I compare this to the useless response people get from hotline supporters when thier newest homegadget doenst work: "Just restart.. oh.. and reinstall windows". If atleast you would come forward and say in plain english: "We cant fix the situation". We are now left with a game that is "laggy at best". Back when I started, things were much smoother. There were bugs yes, but people didnt loose ships due to il-logic game mechanics. With every patch, fix and content expansion the situation has escalated. Buying new hardware wont work. Its a structural problem. Perhaps from the fact that our technological level is not there yet, to enable a servercluster to maintain 25000+ live connections with the ammount of data that needs to be recieved, calculated, enterpreted and transmitted each second. Anyone with even the slightest experience in servers and serversetups knows that there are a limit. And that its not exclusively decided by hardware. And I started, I would like to thank you for a great game. A great universe. But do not think you can outrun theese problems. RMR was promised to be the holy grail. Dragon was promised to be a new mesiah. Kali is a promised God returning home... I dont think so. Brace for major lag. Ps. Dont nerf WCS!

Nothing from any CCP-representatives yet, although we're struggling to log in every evening..we're paying money for this game, and love this game, but right now, it's just terribly fubar! We experience these lag-related problems very often, and it's just not acceptable. But to us players, there is nothing to do but write a post on the official forum, and wait impatiently...and most of the time, all we get is "Sorry for the lag problems wew had last night, we rebooted, and we're working on it".. Yes, I am sure you are, and I know from my own job as systems administrator how much trouble a system can cause, but I also know that costumers shouldn't be presented with problems of this magnitude this frequent! And I remember the old days, where these problems presented the players with an extra day of free game time added...been a long time since I saw that last time! So, invest in more ramsan-systems or whatever needs to be done...right now it's just totally unacceptable!

I normally have no problems with eve lag wise beyond a few lag spikes now and then but the last few days have been horrible with constant connection drops and unresponsive client.. then I noticed that all the major web sites in my browser were loading slow or not at all and I thought "oh must be my isp" so I called them up and after a bit of convo with the tech she said that the neighboring states were having the same problem due to some traffic routing snafu.. (read DOS attack ) My reasoning for the client problems is that if the packets that get sent to the eve cluter are garbled then your clients gonna act up.. Garbage in Garbage out.. Might even be an underlying problem with the massive lag in fleet battles lately.. puts on tin foil hat And seeing as a small but significant percentage of the player base is communications tech savvy then we might have some angry players who are "getting even" with CCP by doing bad things to the system..
