Title says it all.
I'd like to park 3 HICs on a gate out in never never land and wait for traffic to come on by.
1 to Disrupt warping.
1 to Web ships by a similar factor to stasis webifiers modules using the same HIC bubble generator mechanic with a new script. (Does not disrupt warping within its bubble range)
1 to damp targeting systems by a similar factor to Damp modules using the HIC bubble generator mechanic with a new script. (Does not disrupt warping within its bubble range)
I'm also very open to the notion of a t2 dreadnaught hull for this so I can finally "haz" a use for dreads aside from blobby POS bashes or hotdrops on other Caps in very spider tanky carrier fleets...

AOE scripts for Tracking Disruptors and Sensor dampeners sound fun and interesting, but Stasis web bubbles are just OP

Well, at least you aren't pretending this is for something other than making your gatecamps completely impossible for anything not nullified to get through.

Why stop there, lets also add an ECM bubble, a TD bubble, a TP bubble, a smaller scram bubble, and a neuting bubble. Because electronic warfare ships shouldn't even need to target things.
This would make HICs OP and have very long reaching consequences for the meta. The "similar factor to stasis webs" is just hilarious.
Maaaaybe an interesting idea if scaled down, but currently the amount of thought and consideration put into this is slightly less than naught. |

Wouldn't your webbing bubble just make people warp out faster? What is this even trying to do? |

He was referring to interdiction nullified ships like interceptors and t3s that can warp out of bubbles....

Webbing into warp only works if it is moving before the web effect is applied.
If a ship is webbed from the start by jumping in via gate and being in a web bubble, it still afaik has the same align time from 0ms as it would unwebbed.
That being said, -1 to the idea you incredibly lazy camper. |

assuming properly balanced i could see this maybe along with a repurposing of titans in general
however i feel there are better things they could do to titans that wouldn't be at risk of either being over powered or almost useless

That is correct, was going to say so myself.
Anyway, the idea of aoe electronic warfare is always something I thought could be applied to titans. AOE webs from the bus, AOE neuts from the avatar, AOE ECM from the leviathon, AOE.... erm.... ragnarock.
It's a cool idea and fruit for thought, but I doubt there would be any good way to balance the different e-war types. Obviously a similar no-warp, no-jumping, and no moving would need to be applied just like a doomsday to make the leviathon not become the ultimate doomsday hit and run.. (e.g. jump, doomsday, ecm aoe, jump/warp)
As I said, it's just an idea I had... probably not viable |
