Quote: I have no patience for traitors, Arderich, but I do have a very long memory. Your dishonor will hardly be forgotten, should you commit such an act. I hope for the sake of the Kingdom that you do not.
I do not view him a traitor at all. I view him as a loyal Khanid citizen who realizes disgrace and hatred fed by one deranged man who was recently controlled by the Blood Inquisition should not destroy YEARS of work building positive relations between our Empires.
Indeed I view Arderich as more loyal to Khanid than you Hitomi Ayame. He will not put foolish pride ahead of something obvious to all. He will not support someone he does not agree with who causes so much friction.
Indeed Arderich has earned my respect with this action. Actually he had it already for his views on purity and God. Now it is only magnified by his honor in dealing with the likes of Azador.
Quote: Usually, if one wants to work towards a resolution between two parties, it is not a bad idea to step in as a sort of mediator, to see if some sort of compromise can be found through the efforts of such a third party. Given your good reputation and the nature of the Bruderschaft, I believe that you would have been in an ideal position to do so.
The only resolution will come when Azador apologizes to the Amarrian Empire and God for his statements and retracts them. Your support of someone you dont even agree with baffles me considering the consequences.
Quote: But on the other hand, when Azador Kavian makes a sermon that is, albeit inflammatory, not all that fundamentally different from what the Amarr think about us, whether they openly admit it or not, we find ourselves at the center of a witch hunt, and people are gleefully jumping on the bandwagon against KHAN. The more the merrier when it also allows them to vent an old personal grudge against Azador.
The only difference is until this event calls from Amarr of Khanid being a heretic were very few and far between. In fact I cant recall the last time it happend and certainly it did not take the broad brushstroke Azador did condemning not only the Empire but all its followers, its leaders, and everything related to it.
He painted us all with a brush with one massive stroke. His apology afterwards wasnt an apology at all but more a challenge and in insult.
All he needs to do is say he is sorry. It is simple. He fails to do that and even you who dont agree with his words would stand with him. Supporting something you dont even believe in over what? Foolish pride? I know as a man of God and Empire I could never do that.
Quote: We would like to note that, despite many similar opinions from imperial loyalists regarding KhanidĘs position as heretic, never such openly accusation was brought to public. Therefore, we see no option as to condemn Azador as the starting point in such tensions and KHAN for not enforcing his own agenda on its members. This, of course, assuming KHANĘs agenda is not revitalizing separatist feelings and hangers.
I have wondered this as well and suspect perhaps this is part of KHANs plan. Enrage the Amarrian populace using someone controlled by the Blood Inquisition (I suspect). Breed an atmosphere of conflict and distrust and bring Amarr against Khanid and even Khanid against Khanid. All while the Blood Inqusition laughs.
Or perhaps it is Azadors own plan and that of his "supporters". People who admit they dont even support his words yet support his actions. People who seem to strive on conflict and anger. What is their plot? To say a few words then try to appear as "victims" when those affected take offense and take action to defend God? It is a devious plan and one that must be defeated.
Apologize. The solution is simple. If he does not apologize he should be expelled.
