This is a moot point. One of the big guys, Panasonic, Phillips, etc. have created a player that will play both. -------------------------------------- http://digitalsdomain.spaces.live.com/ <--- Check it out.

Originally by: Aeon Jonas HD-DVD you have to buy an extra drive for your XBOX 360 but with the Playstation 3 there is an in built Blu-Ray drive.
That would be pretty reliant on Sony actually managing to get the PS3 off the ground...
You are also comparing a $600 product to a $400 product. And I'm sure a lot of people are in the "I'll believe it when I see it" boat like Moon mentioned. -------------------------------------- http://digitalsdomain.spaces.live.com/ <--- Check it out.

I assume you mean besides 6x the picture resolution, lossless high definition audio, picture in picture, simultaneous video and menus, and 3x the disk space for higher bitrates and more special features?
With fuzzy math, you can add all of that up and actualy get -2. -------------------------------------- http://digitalsdomain.spaces.live.com/ <--- Check it out.

HD-DVD is retarded.
Your argument is very compelling and the points you raise are truly thought provoking. I don't know how you manage to put forward your views so elloquently but you've won me over!
PS. Have you considered applying for work within Sony's marketing department?
Nice.
In any case it will all depend on how the industry goes. Beta was a much better quality than VHS but look who won. Part of the reason for this is because Sony had to grant rights for every video to be recorded onto Beta. They wouldn't allow certain films to berecorded onto their medium but VHS had no such policies. -------------------------------------- http://digitalsdomain.spaces.live.com/ <--- Check it out.

And I honsetly think this certain industry, which supports Blue-ray, will make it the winner.

Where the adult film industry goes, the rest of the film industry follows.
I think, historically, the best system has won every time, and Blu-Ray is the better system.
Wrong, Beta is much better quality than VHS. -------------------------------------- http://digitalsdomain.spaces.live.com/ <--- Check it out.
