Not sure if this is the right place, but figured it was worth a try.
I am a part of a rather new corp (less then a month old), and most of the members are equally as new. The ones who have been playing longer are miners/manufacturers. What I am trying to get at is we were recently war decced by a another corp with 2+ members who have been playing 2+ years. We don't have nearly the manpower to defend ourselves, so we decided that mercs would be our next option.
My in-game name is Jigglenesss, so please convo or eve-mail me. And please note the 3 s's on the end. (i used the original in trial  )

Post ur corp and alliance name under ur portrait if u have them , u can do it from setting or the mods will insta pop ur thread.
second u can also check crime and punishment section of the forums for merc corps and their contacts

Here is a list of potential mercenary corporations and alliances.
I'd recommend shopping around and consulting the top three. Hints for an effective transaction:
 Make the requirements for the contract crystal clear
Negotiate, negotiate, negotiate
Think outside the box: ISK is not the only thing mercs need to live (offer mins, etc)
Make a joint-operations channel so you can feed the mercs real-time intel
That's just a start, but it should help you get a good start on defense.

fit lots and lots of t1 frigs with t1 modules and swarm them like bees with ecm/scramblers/dampners/tracking disruptors.use frigs with as many mid slots as possible and you will learn fast and cheap how to pvp.use bookmarks from gate-gate and bookmarks to dock.gather your forces in 1 system and let them come to you then SWAAAAAARM and kick theire a*s  and you will soon find out that with all that 2 year old chars will pop as any other ship.

Although he is perfectly correct, Hiring Mercs to deal with them is also a legitimate tactic.
I reccommend that you try the t1 frig approach as well, its a lot of fun and wont break your bank if you get popped.

forget mercs! they will set you back 100 mil or so.for the same isk you will get 500 t1 frigs with t1 fitting and ALOT of fun the day the corp kills a HAC (as i assume a 2 year old char will fly) is the day you just destroyd a couple of hundred million isk and i promise you he will be ****ed and your corp will have a good laugh and feel proud.remember there is no better time to learn pvp (yes eventually you will have to learn it if you want to be in a corp) then to learn it when the clones are cheap.you will learn alot about game mechanics and your own abilitys.if the war is allready active then send alts to buy what you need and go out there and have some real fun.you will die alot but so what.its cheap to die now, rather then make alot of mistakes when your clones cost 10s of millions.so gear up jiggles and take your men into combat.you will do alot of mistakes as commander and your corp member should expect that but you will all come out stronger as pilots and as a corp.SWAAAAAAARM

also note that a merc corp is effective because of the experience each member has in working as a team (each knows the other's strengths and weaknesses and also extablishes a certain amount of trust with the others abilities). so in most cases, when you ask "hey can I have a gang?" the anwser will be no. dont take it personally, it is after all, just business.

This is what you want to do. It's a lot of fun, for both you and the folks who war dec'd you.
Its a video game - dying is fine. Little tech1 friggies are great fun to zoom around in and lose. When I was learning to pvp I bought myself ten, got them fitted up, and went out to die. I fraps'ed my losses and watched the fraps later to try to figure out what had killed me, since it was so fast and I was so flustered initially.
Make sure to use Teamspeak or ventrilo.

As others have mentioned, start pumping out T1 frigates.
Swarm em. Orbit around 6k with warp scramblers and webbers and poon em.
