Well, congratulations on your purchase of one of the most powerful PVE ships in the game. I personally fly one myself, but am not bias when it comes to this ship. I have seen some gnarly BC's and even Cruisers hurt BS's and even do L4 missions. Either way, I hope you take good care of your new ship, and always fly safe. With that said, I would suggest staying in L3 missions until you get comfortable flying your new ship, and examining it's capabilities. For the guy who posted about not fitting your ship with Heavy Missiles, I would suggest that you inspect the damage dealt to L3 ships by heavies. There is a reason why a Ferox can solo L3's. Heavy Missiles do a good deal of damage to cruisers, and even capable to down BC's. I would setup your ship to your taste. Use what you've used on past ships, and until your skills increase to levels where you can use T2 parts, freeing up cap and p/g, fly safe, and stay in those L3 missions. As for how to fly, that is up to you. What have you been comfortable with up to now? Remember, you got yourself to this point, so good on you. To stay there, keep improving the skills you have learned while soloing L3, L2, even L1 missions. If you like to turn and burn, the Raven is not a great ship to do it. The AB uses lots of cap that would otherwise be used for tanking. This ship is great for just sitting there and acting like a sponge for damage. While you are new, set yourself up for a win by aligning your ship with a gate and putting along at 3.0 m/s. you'll be aligned, and a quick autopilot will send you off away from your assailers. Just for kicks, last night, I took my shody equiped Raven into L3 Spy Stash. I tanked the whole map on purpose to see if I could handle the damage. With my skills, I was able to let them go about their business while I picked em off one at a time. Experience taught me to focus on the BC's and cruisers first. Actually, the cruisers do so much damage, I did them in first. Then, after the BC's were gone, the damage was so tiny from the frigates, I let em get eaten by my drones. Couple NOS, and couple cap rechargers, and I never even began to sweat. That is my experience and skill and mods all working for me. It took time to get there, but building on what you know already about the missions, and giving yourself time to learn in a safe environment, you can teach yourself much better how to fly missions with your new ship than we can. One last thing, when you do decide to go into L4 missions, please take a buddy that will back you up. Someone capable of tanking the whole board if need be after you warp out. The should not participate in killing, but merely be a backup should you get in trouble. Once you feel like you can fly solo, take a simple L4 and go for it. Always make sure your ship is fully insured, unless you are related to Donald Trump, and has the right equipment for the job you are doing. Couldn't be more simple! Enjoy your time. It's a grand game.
