Streamers and some normal people do not like having a large VR headset and headphones on at the same time. It's just to much.
I would love to try out EVE valkyrie Beta using the Track IR5 as an option Since I allready actively use that in Warthunder, Elite dangerous and Star Citizen. |

Didn't they learn with Dust that tying your software with this and this piece of hardware doesn't lead to wide adoption? I've been flying flight sims for the last couple of years using the basic stick hat for looking around and it works great.
Ah, well, dissapointed that this will be the second CCP product I'm not going to play.

*shrugs* its made for VR and won;t work outside of VR. simple as that. Plenty of people will pick up a rift and play. and they did ;learn form dust, as dust is *gasp* profitable

They don't need mass adoption. There are better dogfight games already in the market. There are no 100% VR dogfight game. It make sense to make a niche game for VR.
It make much more sense to make a game for an Incoming plateform that will last for a long time (Vr) than a game for a dying platform ( ps3).

I'd be very surprised if you guys have tried a VR headset (Rift DK2 minimum) and still prefer TrackIR.
With that said, we are looking at some options for streamers. There are already quite a few streamers playing in VR btw :)

Yeah, but that doesn't look very interesting for others to watch is it? I'm hoping we'll be able to deliver something better without destroying your game performance, but no promises on that yet.

support a non VR spectator mode that you can set to follow a player, thus the stream can be captured on a different graphics card / computer / console and not have any impact on the performance of the game.

IDK much about all of it, but maybe a second Non-VR client could do the trick. Just something where you can connect to a game and watch it in a free camera mode in 2D, without loading lots of stuff.
But again, i don't know much about it, it might be a lot of work to do a second " light" client ! But you could call it Zephyr.exe ^^ |
