In the past weeks, we have been discussing ways to make the CSM meetings more productive, taking some of the feedback we've gotten into account.
For starters, we will be holding them earlier in the day. The original time - 22:00 GMT - had been set by the devs who were attending in those early days of the CSM. Often, the meetings would either run long and the guys were wiped out or we'd have to end them earlier than we'd like because of the hour. We've decided to hold them earlier in the day so that everyone's wide-eyed and bushy tailed - about 14:00 GMT (8 am CST for me.)
One benefit to having them earlier in the day is that we will be able to call upon other members of the team who are focusing on some of the areas the players may ask about. In previous CSM's, those guys had already left the office and unable to be reached for information.
We had been hesitant to set topics or have questions submitted in advance, though detractors often assumed we were picking and choosing what we would answer. Since the idea of having questions submitted in advance and topics being set seems to be popular, we'll try changing this for a while and see how it works. Delegates will receive an e-mail on Monday inviting them to submit three questions each. We'll address as many as we can during the two-hour chats on Wednesday.
Those who have not been appointed to the CSM previously may start sending in their e-mails to me now to be considered for the upcoming session. Please do not request to be added to the roster if you cannot attend on the dates and times we will be meeting. Give someone who can be there a chance to fill the seat instead.
When sending the e-mail, please include the following information in your message:
Your character name The name and e-mail address of your CEO, if you are not the CEO of your corporation. Only one e-mail per corp, please The name of your corporation The primary focus of your corp (ie trading, pvp, roleplaying, etc.)- the same goes for freelancers, and please specify that you are a freelancer
If you are a press representative, please give the URL for your news or fan site.
