Can the Aeon realy mine as much as a hulk with mining drones?
No, but it's an uber tank and for a tank it mines a lot better than an Apoc. Also, you can park a lot of Itty Vs in that thing, so you don't have to haul to a nearby station, just fill all the itties in the SMA and then jump it back to base, back into the belt, rinse and repeat!
i guess i'll just have to buy a 3rd aeon then...

Yeah, props to IAC, you guys can pull up some defense when you're expecting it.
Do look into investing into a private defense channel though. ;) I keed, I keed.

Seleene,
Great post as always. MC were always professional in space and a big O/ to you and yours. I understand that your posts are from your point of view; clear, concise, and factual (as you saw events). To that end I give you kudos and thanks. You have ever been a professional thus far. I understand due to military secrecy and privacy concerns no IAC war story has been released to the public yet ie (the snowball launchers on all the POS at time of Dread attack was bad since we decided having hamsters instead of guns 'hamsters scare even that hardest minmatar pirate'and we turned our guns in for Booze at the outpost.) So we havent seen events going on behind the IAC front. I was not around for the initial G7 push so i eagerly await seeing how this story turns out.
Hopefully IAC space can once again begin the distrobution of Beer and beer accesories. NRDS and trade, and the repaying of those debts owed to the allies who helped us in our time of need. I look forward to showing what else the IAC is made of.
As for the future.
/emote breaks open a cask of 70 year old brandy and sits down in his over stuff chair. A relaxed and satisfied look dances across my face. Suddenly I sit up. 'What am i going to do with all of these PVP fitted ships and all this new training!' Leaning back I suddenly realize that its rather simple really. I'll find the backer of McFix/KIA then I'll Destroy the Backer of McFix/KIA.
Thundirr Out.

Congratulations to the IAC for surviving this trial of fire.
Yes the CVA did help but on grand scale our conribution was relatively small. Nevertheless it was good to help our friends out.
I look forward to the dropping of the current IAC NBSI policy and resumption of their anti-pirate patrols.
Well done and...

To IAC,
Well done guys! Like has been said you really do deserve to own this space and you did very well, I've had respect for most you guys for a while as some of you know! from when i bring the guys out on a drunken crawl round catch and knock on your door's etc you can hold your space well and everyone should respect that too.
Big props guys and i will come see you soon to play pew pew (for fun ofc, like before ) i like shooting Jouni's moros it was good target practice!) reminds me of Jabba the hut sitting on his throne in SW ! the way he sits on the station in g-7)

Seeing stuff like this, makes me think it would almost be a good idea for new alliances, once they get their industrial and logistical base under them, to hire MC to attack them. Give your people some real combat ops experience, find out where any command structure problems may lie, and find out who the freeloaders in the alliance are.
And the nice thing is, you can stop it at any time since you're the client. Gives you a controllable opfor.
So yeah I'm just thinking outloud again... :)

Thank you MC and friends for a fun bash :). In true IAC manner i am kinda drunk writing this, but the "open" security channel is a tactic. You think you know we know thing, you know? :)
Also, it has been a blast and serious training for us, thank you for that. We will very soon employ that on our enemies, as we didn't even get to use the capital fleet.. dang it :).
Well, hats off, thank you for fights and a special thank to n sx who is a guy we all should love and cherish.. or something rosey.

I was going to write something on behalf of FIX for this... until I saw a suggested post that had been written out by Lyssandra (The lady does a heck of a lot for us). She expresses our feelings on the subject very well:
Firmus Ixion congratulates IAC and their allies on their determination to fight for their homeland stations and their ability to draw vast numbers of pilots to sufficiently defend their outposts. We were pleased to accept the invitation to fly with the Mercenary Coalition and enjoyed executing effective strategies alongside its talented pool of highly-skilled pilots.
What impressed us most during FIX's visit, more than the McFIX fleet's highly efficient destruction of IAC system sovreignty over the first outpost at the outset, was MC's tenacity which kept them working long and hard on the contract objectives despite the huge blow dealt to initial plans by the the numerous node crashes when the five H7 POS emerged from reinfoced mode, and again when the four in T4 came out of reinforced.
It was frustrating to be able to effectively put the POS into reinforced mode, but then, due to technical issues, not be able to finish the job repeatedly. The intermitant server instability endured whenever more than 200 pilots gathered for battles added significant levels of interference yeilding unpredictable outcomes for far too many solid tactical plans. Their patience and multipe attempts to plan for it and work around the issues for so long is to be commended.
Our pilots enjoyed the engagements where realm stability was not an issue against the IAC and AXE fleets and wished we'd had opportunties for more of those type of fights. FIX's goals were met during Operation Prohibition and we look forward to future opportunities for fleet battles for McFIX fleets. _________________________________________
On a personal note, I wish I had more time to join in myself. It's been a pleasure on many fronts, and our thanks goes out to IAC for providing the battlegrounds.
Cheers, Av.

I just wish I had been around for more of it though. Most of the 'official' FIX post by me above is written by Lyssandra. I was in the fighting for the intial attack... and an extremely long morning after, then lost my internet for a week. Got it back a while ago and got in a decent fight in F4 within 30 minutes of being reconnected... and then had to get back to RL work.
The important thing is how many people managed to have a good time though, and in that I think we succeeded magnificiently.

Props to everyone involved, it was really fun. The lag was bad, and the node crashes were quite annoying, but in the end, we all had fun. I made the screenshot for my sig in one of the node crashes btw, i was about to pod someone, his pod was allready flaming and had ejected the corpse, while suddenly it all froze, and all i could do is just sit there, making screenshots of it. :D

Provided this thread isn't aimed at creating a diversion covering something nasty (sorry buds, but I don't even trust my own mother after 42 years on this strange planet...), my best whishes to MC/KIA/FIX. It has been difficult to catch your people off-guard during all your stay in the area, despite spending hours studying the individual abilities, setups & tactics of your pilots. A friendly salute
