I'm trying to calculate the top speed in Eve without MWD's.
Fastest ship to my knowledge is the Claw, Minmatar interceptor with a base speed of 475 m/s
It has 4 low slots = 4x Dominion faction overdrive injectors (40 m/s) = 160 m/s bonus, making it go 635 m/s
25% bonus from maxed navigation skill makes this 793.75 m/s
Best faction afterburner (gistii a-type) gives 163.88% bonus, maxed acceleration control give an additional 25%, this makes a 163.88+25=188.88% speed bonus
793.75*2.8888 makes the top speed 2292.985 m/s with still the extremely small signature radius that an MWD would ruin.
Now there are also the Snake implants that according to another thread give a 53.63% velocity bonus (see http://oldforums.eveonline.com/?a=topic&threadID=203472), I just don't know where exactly to apply this. I think I simply have to add this to the navigation velocity bonus, making the first bonus a 78.63% bonus instead of a 25% bonus.
This would mean the calculation comes down to:
(475+160) * 1.7863 * 2.8888 = 3276.77 m/s
Does anyone know if this is correct? Is there anything I'm forgetting or miscalculating?

Ok thanks, I'll try to recalculate it later. It would be a bad thing if Amarr ended up with the fastest ship because of that lower weight though :/ I picked minmatar mainly for this.

MWD sig bonus is irrelevant at very high speeds, since you're outrunning missile explosion velocity and turret tracking anyway. It's quite possible to sustain an MWD and "actually fight" while moving at MWD speeds, assuming your own tracking is adequate to the task. (That latter point is one of the reasons why Crows are so much nastier than any other interceptor.)
Hmm ok.. well I might as well learn caldari frigates since I'm learning all missile skills anyway, it's not that much trouble to get a rank 1 skill up to level 5.. Too bad it only has 3 low slots though.
