I have this weird problem with FRAPS, where fraps actually forces the set FPS on to EVE.
Situation is like this, I get 60 fps normally when sitting in the station. When I start to record with fraps(30 fps settings), the eve fps(ctrl+f) falls down to exactly 30. The same happens with any other FPS, eve tries to match fraps record speed..
Has anyone ever experienced this problem and maybe knows how to fix this?
Thanks, Lisa

its not a problem, whatever you have fraps set to record at will be the 'max' fps you will get while recording.

Ok so it's normal the game becomes pretty much unplayable if you set it to record at 10 fps?

Yup. Really, really annoying feature that.
I'd love to record at 15 FPS to save hard disk space, since I time compress 200% on encoding anyway. But that forces me to play EVE at 15 FPS which is just unbearable.

Laptops typically suck when ever they are required to read/write from their HDD. You may be better off writing to an external HDD attached with USB 2.0+.
