The increases to HP are going to ruin it for the solo pirates, or for the 'newer players in a small group' pirates, or for the 'my cap just lasts long enough to get smaller ships' pirates, and several other pirates too. Example: The other day I pounced on a Ferox. Got him scrambled and webbed and let leash my 6 T2 guns and nos. He decided to fight back seeing as how he had sentry help. He soon stopped that once he realised how little damage he could do, and decided to wait for his opportunity to jump when he finally made it to the gate. After all, surely his Ferox with invul and 3 large, named shield extenders would outlast my guns?? Well, they certainly would if he had double HP! As it was I blew away his 8000+ damage resistant shield HP and removed him from his ship. Fortunately for me, I've been around long enough to have trained enough skills to enable this, most players won't have. But if he had 16000+ of dmg resistant HP, he may just well have escaped, leaving me with a sec hit for nothing!

I'm more annoyed about not being able to do hit and runs... I've popped many miners while being hunted by anti-pirates.

Sounds like fun to me, longer battles call for more diverse tactics.
I fail to see a single thing bad about it.
You can forget about tech I sniping though, a good thing even if I have done it once or twice.

They are also going to be cutting shield regeneration rates in half (by doubling the time it takes to fully regenerate your shields). Granted, this doesn't fully counter the compounding effect that Maximum shield HP has on effective shield HP after regeneration, but it means that if you can break their tank now, you can break it after the changes. You just have a while longer to chew through that bottom 40% of their shields.
Also, as has been mentioned - adapt or die =)

I see good and bad coming out of it. longer battles will be really good but i do see missing out on the hit and run aspects of solo piracy. But eve is a changing world. anyone who has been playing as long as i have will know that the game bares very little resemblence to how it started and i'm still playing so lets show a little faith in ccp and see how it goes.

Hitpoints double but 15 km to jump (back) stay --> more ships needed to kill someone before he jumps (back) --> forces to have bigger gang.

What about minmatars that are supposed to work with hit & run (speed) and alpha strike (better alpha but less dps)...
I hope we don't get screwed up as usual :)

I only care about how it effects the Minmatar race and armortanking (passive armortanking sucks compared to passive shieldtanking). Artys which only "thing" was to deal insane alpha has been nerfed. _____

Yup minnie will suffer here that's for sure. autos dps will be affected by extra reload times and 1400 II uber alpha strike won't be so important now u can't insta pop cruisers. also amarr are gonna be kinda struggling. hard enough to rip through armour tanks with em primary dmg but now it'll be insane. gallente i think will benefit the most from this. neutron ganka multi plated megas time is at hand.

btw the stab nerf is coming so your goin to need abit of extra time now for your corpies to come help you.
50% aint that big a deal. Still wont make combat that much longer imho. Goin for the cap as always seems to be the way.

lets go with 7000 hp, with the 50% bonus, that will become 10500. Still encourages more blobs, less solo stuff unfortunately

That or the 2nd HP boost thats being released with Kali?

i dont get you guys, its only 50% hp more, one could argue its much, but what it means is you need 50% more time to kill target, so if it takes me 2 minutes to kill a bship in 1v1, it will take me 3 minutes - dont see much difference. and as for snipers - yes it nerfs them a bit - but since wcs are out of option on those ships after kali, 2-3 damage mods to replace them will mean youre dealing same damage
