Hire MC!
Or just start flying fleets of frigs and swarm the crap out of anything that opposes you. If you keep this up long enough they will get bored/fed up and leave you alone. Industrialists tend to have much more isk in their wallets than PVPers do, so you should be able to keep it up for longer. But hiring mercs or getting some escort people for your industry activities isn't a bad idea either.

Edited by: Maria Ravenwind on 22/10/2006 01:12:50 Ditch your mining barges and haulers. Hop in that T1 frig and cruiser. Slap on some weapons, webs, scramblers and ECMs and go out there and die!
I say that with all seriousness. Especially if your corp has a lot of newer players, wars can be very hard for industrial groups. You need to get all of your players out there in the cheapest ships with the cheapest setting, get into a gang and go for it! You have to learn that it is ok to die.
Now if someone has lots of implants, well, thats understandable. You may want to look into getting a jump clone set up with one of the jump clone services available. Check out the Sell Section, there's always a few posted in there.
Make sure your clones are up to date, get in a gang, and have a blast. It's a different part of the game. It is being forced upon you, but if you don't learn to have fun doing it, you'll feel like quitting the game.
And I'm sure that if you let us know what the problem is, you may be able to get some assistance. Such as people joining your corp temporarily to help you fight.
Eidt: I forgot one thing! The most important thing besides actually fighting is to make sure that everyone is together! Get all your pilots into the same system, or at least in large groups. Straglers will die very easily. Sure it will be easier for them to kill you, but together you will have a much better chance of standing and fighting.

Get a well balanced force of T1 frigates and cruisers together and have some fun. Insurance makes them dirt cheap to fit and replace, you'll lose nothing and the experience alone is worth it.
EW Griffin, Tackler Rifter, a Thorax, Blackbird, Brutix and an Arbitrator would be a good example of a balanced T1 wolfpack. Really the key for a group of low combat SP players to win is to balance your fleet well. Make sure you have frigate tacklers, support ships and some DPS and you're ready to rock.

A little bit of leadership, a good helping of discipline and participation and you'll have no real trouble. Start with all expendable ships if noone has any fleet/gang experience - and just keep in mind, every little bit of intel matters (both in denying it, and in getting and relaying it).
Your biggest problem will really be participation. Agree on a rally station, cajole everyone into having ships ready there and to drop whatever they're doing then and there to participate when necessary. Yes, they'll miss out on a few bonuses, there might be some unhauled ore sitting around and god knows what. It doesn't matter, your cohesion as a group/corporation/alliance supercedes all - once people agree with that, everyone will have fun as being called to fight ends up not being a drag for anyone.
The opposite end of the spectrum is is low responsiveness and prioritizing moneymaking or other personal endeavors. That leads to those few people that do show up to be frustrated and either cease to do so or leave your corporation, and those that continue soloing to get ganked and cry about "your" miserable failure in fighting the war.
That's about all there is really. Don't worry about losing a few ships, isk is ultimately an expendable. Motivated membership however is the single most valuable ressource.

better still all industrial corps should seek out jump clone access and get their members into them asap - also new memebrs should be put into basic PVP frig fights (the key is to make this all fun) if a war pops up fight it as best u can (move miners out to do mining ops and back in to fight)
um otherwise join one of the many alliances in game the war fees go up and most likley u will have like minded corps to play with
