Quote: as in neutral ships u just collect them and their outta a ship?
Yeah, when they log off while being scrambled, the mothership can scoop the logger ship within 15 minutes.

So...where did you get it?

Edited by: Wizard on 26/10/2006 14:44:04 As someone who is gd freinds with the establishment and regularly flys with them, ive obviously seen the effectiveness of nyx in combat but the other abilitys that you have stated are simply awesome lifewire, theyll open a whole new world to ops m8.
I hope it brings you a lot of fun, gd luck.
P.s. its also a mojor acheivemant for a small corp to pull somthing like the ownership of 1 of these off, well done....gd temwork and playerbase obviously.

Your tackle plans are interesting but no idea if they would have been effective. For one thing, the apocs would have been the first to be targetted and destroyed by her. A full brace of fighters can murder a battleship about as fast as a POS can and I don't care what sort of reps you are running.
After that the bumper domis are taken out, allowing the Nyx to warp.
So given 8 battleships assigned for the task I reckon you'd have had a maximum of five minutes to kill her stone dead. And that's with her doing everything in her power to keep herself alive. Massive armor and shields, huge reppers and ridiculous resists.
Take a gang of 12+ Tech 2 fitted battleships plus the neutageddons and maybe you'd be able to do it, but then again...

Motherships are nowhere near as effective as people seem to think.
And yes, that is coming from the pilot of one. --------

For a small corp, its a VERY useful logistical tool.

Seems pretty damn effective in low sec. You need an army of nos Domis to nos and bump, along with an army of Ravens to kill fighters with precision cruise missiles.

Or just one zealot to tank them all.

The ship is indeed useful, but they payed a high price, not isk-wise.

Anyway the truth is : a mothership will prolly own anything except a dreadnought or titan so if you need a 12+ fleet of t2 bs think about a 12+ fleet of t1 motherships . a lot of isk but then who cares .

But as Epsilon 1 states this has come at a heavy price, alot of good "loyal" members have left due to this on going Project.
I just hope its what you really want and need for your Corp.

A Nyx is hard as hell to kill. I know that for a fact.
It may be almost impossible to kill it in lowsec as the only way to scramble it is to use bubbles or spheres.
Bumping it? You've got to be joking. Do you have any idea how fast 17 fighters kill an untanked BS?
