Is it possible that ships while in dock, and in space, could have the corp logo of the corp you are a member of, decaled onto the side of a ship. Probably asked before, but mneh.
Since I don't believe we can have new or custom skins, every ship looking the same as every other ship of it's type in game is boring. Something akin to this as an idea. Including NPC corps.
Should be easy, as I thought the images are in the game already.

I seem to remember this getting accepted and slated for one of the up comming patches but I have no reference for it.

I don't think it would effect lag at all, or at least only on clients with weak gfx ability. As I understand it most of the lag is server and network.
Each players corp ID can probably be covered in a couple of bytes and is likely already being shipped out to the client. Logos would only take a few more bytes and that's per corp and cacheable, turning the logo description into an image (again cacheable) and pasting it on the ship is the clients problem.
