Overview not updating the Yellow "next stargate in line" when changing destination. Solution is to minimize and maximize the overview for it to refresh. Been happening for "a long time".
Overview doesn't update when a can name gets changed. You do the "set name" then have to min/max overview for it to change.
Instas are still very hard to work with. I've got about 1000 in People and Places so I'm trying to dump them from p&p into a can to make p&p open quicker. About 300 bookmarks later (5 at a time) I close and re-open the can... and wait... and wait... and wait... minutes pass by... great this... and wait... So I either suffer with a slow People and Places, or a very very slow can to open to get a bookmark in or out.
Level 1 agent in Nommi, Lai Dai, Production (only 1 there) gives out courier missions that take you through 0.4 space since 2 jumps away is a lowsec system. Not ideal for noobs... and also not great since you get no warning in the mission screen before you accept. Workaround is to add all the systems that it shows you as waypoints, go into the map, check for lowsec, then decline (and take standings hit if they do it twice).
Queuing at gates; this should make you invincible / invisible when you've pressed the jump button otherwise it's (almost) impossible to survive long enough when in a system that is queuing especially when every 3-4 systems shows up as queueing in the map (in 0.0 space... e.g. catch).
Cloaking is still not automatically decloaking when you're within 2500m of objects... randomly. E.g. I can jump to a gate and stay docked while overview shows me (refreshed to check) that I'm 0m away. "You fail to jump because you are cloaked". "You fail to dock because you are cloaked".
Cloaking: for safety pressing the cloak button should remove any gate "free" cloak instead of having to move in a direction and press the cloak button. i.e. make the cloak button work as if I'd started moving so decloak and re-cloak me. I don't mind the flash on overview etc... it's the lag problem of pushing the button.. then finding that you aren't cloaking even though pressing the button repeatedly (an attempt is underway to active module).
Various error messages when under lag / rapid pressing show daft messages like "Shield booster is already shieldBoosting" - we don't need to see these messages and we especially don't need to see the internal function name that is being called.
Overview settings should save on the server so they stay the same between computers! Having to manually create them 6 times (2 accounts) and then 2x again (2 computers) is just plain painful especially when you have several different settings (war, missioning, mining, everything, moons etc) -can be 30-40 overviews to manage.
Bookmark folders should stay serverside. When you flick between 2 computers the bookmarks aren't in folders in some and are in others... makes it difficult to have a consistant configuration. Still no way of telling when you are having some forms of ewar against you or who is doing it... like warp disruptors.
When mining and an asteroid pops one of the lasers will deactivate (with the appropriate message about the asteroid being depleted)... then you have to manually turn the others off (each giving you the same moaning message); can we have the messages suppressed for any other lasers that are on the same roid? For bonus points have them deactivate at the same time even though their cycle may not be complete since anyone who is watching/listening will already know and manually deack them. i.e. no "bonus" for deactivating other than the suppression of the green flashing icons and the sound effect of depleted moaning.
Can the buttons we press to activate modules have a black 1 pixel circle put around them so we can tell if they are red, green or black regardless of the surrounding visual fluff onscreen (e.g. space clouds).

The last suggestion would be great. Half the time in missions I'm watching "the other way" in order to have the black background and actually see what modules are doing what.

Someone in your buddy (enemy) list logging in should not cause your client to log. It seems that most of the lag caused by that is because the image is loaded off cache, and if not in cache from the server? Just remove the pretty picture... or give us the ability to suppress buddy login / logout messages entirely - thus saving lookup time on the server.
The ability to remove / add an entire corp to the buddy list would be nice. The ability to remove / add an entire alliance to the buddy list would be nice. [Adding the alliance, not adding each individual member in... otherwise buddy lists will become very large very quickly].
The ability to "archive" and "restore" groups of bms - e.g. I no longer need any PureBlind ones so I'm dragging them in groups of 5 into a can for a great play experience - makes veld mining look like fun! (you get paid for veld...) Have it work on a per region basis so that all of the bms vanish.

Seriously, overwhelmingly agree...
I don't see how you folks survive in low sec, between the lag and the other things listed here.
btw what does decide fleet battles for you? which side has a Dev (no lag) on their side? If I just fly into a gate camp with a handfull of peeps waiting... my screen doesn't show anything until i'm buying the new clone.

Another thing to complain about: When you have a large force at a gate and you're all hitting the jump button and people start getting queue messages, those who make it through should have their free gate cloak timer extended until the last person in the queue on the other side makes it through. There is nothing worse than jumping through and seeing a 40 man blob in front of you, then hearing on vent that pretty much everyone else is stuck... and 45 seconds later you go pop because you're all alone. Not asking for co-ordinated jumps - though would be nice if the gang owner could push the "gang jump" button - just a workaround for the queueing at gates problem. BTW - that's after cloaked scouts have jumped through etc - it's the main body of the jumping-in force that tends to be the problem.

Repeatedly adding a space and removing it can make it work. Nice that it remembers localhost and once remembered it always works.. until I need to change it back to tranquility.
Would be nice if it remembered any (valid) server addresses I used. So I use localhost and successfully connect then it should save that away in it's list of valid addresses for the drop down box.
When using 2 clients on the same PC at the same time the sounds is terrible. Turning off sound on one client makes the other work fine, but is a pain if you need sound on both.
At log in time a whole bunch of windows re-open and it takes a while. E.g. items, people and places, market, eve mail, local, etc. I close them before logging and re-log and they pop up again. Can we have an option so no windows open at log in time to reduce the amount of things we need to manually close before doing useful stuff.
MOTD doesn't show if you use localhost / 127.0.0.1 as the name of the server. I suspect it's trying to use port 80 and http get the info instead of using the eve directed port and get the info from the server directly. Eve shouldn't need more than one port open.

hmm it is because they cycled before it went pop and they will auto shut off when they get through with their cycle they are currently on. as for the messages is it really taht big of deal?

I agree with pretty much everything here, with the exception of the part about 'the bookmarks staying serverside'... This cannot / will not work. The game can barely send / receive packets as it is in nodes with only a hand-full of people without creating ungodly ammounts of LAG. This would only make the situation far worse, IMO.
What we might benefiet from is some kind of bookmark management system that is done 'outside of Eve'... ie: along the same lines as what Eve-Mon has.... does that sound plausable? someone please fill me on on the positives and negatives of that.

2 accounts x 7 lasers == a lot of messages... very spammy... can cause client to crash.

Sounds good; I'm trying to keep a list of problems rather than the solutions since there doesn't seem to be a good list anywhere of annoyances, bugs etc. This is the same problem with ammo - "the module has run out of charges" multiple times... very spammy, no need for it. Just a case of suppressing multiple messages within a few second window.
Another one just thought of: wtb guristas ecm's on the market. If I manually type in the name etc I can't find it on the market, but if I buy one on escrow and then right-click it and "view market details" amazingly I can get into and place a buy order. Hence the only way people can place future buy orders for these items is by having the items already. All items that can be bought and sold should be available to everyone, or not at all. Try to place a buy order for estemel's ecm... need to find one first :-/

Stop me if you've heard this one...
Its another overview problem, when you insta to a station and while still in warp & select the station the docking icon is grey and cant be used. This I understand, however once your out of warp, the button remains grey and you cant dock. You have to select the station again for the box to become usable.
------- In response to the gang jump, IMHO, you shouldn't have one person control your gangs system to system movements. Many people would complain that their gang leader forced them into a gate camp and they couldn't choose not to follow. This would also make it possible for someone to move a whole corps fleet with only one person at the keys. Entire mining opperations could be controlled by one person alot easier. I dont CCP making it easier for people to be AFK and yet moving entire systems.

if you opened it while you are in warp and then once you drop out it will stay grey till you open a new one and refresh it. It is not a auto refresh item, if you have right clicked in space and selected it scroll down to something else and then back to it and it will be there.

Yes, thats what I have to do....
It doesn't update, just like the cans dont update when you name them. The Overview doesn't update in sync with events on screen with certain things.

I drag and drop the 15k pile on top of the 930 pile and get told "Not enough cargo space" etc. I then repeat the same exercise but drop the 15k pile into some empty space in the cargo bay (having had to make the window slightly bigger to get some) or some other non-paradise cruise missile slot. Now magically I'm given a different message "Set quantity" and told how many will fit. Press ok (not doing anything else) and 5k pop into my cargo bay. I then right-click in cargo bay and "stack all" and now I'm where I wanted to be about 5 minutes ago. Why doesn't dropping on top of the same item type just fail but dropping on some other type works fine? Grr....

the actual folder you need in your machonet folder is named "87.237.38.200" the other folder you can delete, they are not used anymore.

you got the escrow for... faction stuff is not supposed to sell/buy on the market, as its not avaible to all and not produced by npc on regular base. if you still want to get it fixed, wait till Kali is full deployed and you got the extended market/escrow/auction.

well and another go, ppl werent supposed to use 2 clients on same pc, so there is no "fix" to turn on both clients to use sound. if you still want to use sound on both computers, my best guess is that you need to seperate your soundcard channels. on default you are using 16 channels, you just need to figure it out to split them 8/8, but guess you wont like it to hear your game in mono mode either.

Since I'm using a combination of servers (localhost, 127.0.0.1 and tranquility on 87.237.38.200) I have 3 subfolders; I probably shouldn't be randomly deleting them and if eve means to have them cleared then the client should do it automatically, or produce some documentation that lists what should be deleted and when.

Hypnos ECM isn't produced by npc on regular basis (depending on a definition of regular I guess). T2 Heavy Launchers aren't produced by npcs at all but are listed. Can you point me at the documentation where faction stuff isn't supposed to be sold on the open market - and if such a thing exists then my bug is that we are able to buy and sell but only if we have the item in hand in the first place (to buy / add to quickbar to look at later).
Using a few of the items I've got lying around I see that gist large and sba modules are occasionally bought and sold, and faction ecm (dread is all I can check... want to borrow the rest so I can add em to my quick bar).

Interesting but can you point me at any documentation that says that 2 clients isn't supported on one PC? Also if Eve wanted to block that it would be trivially easy since at the time the client first loads it would just need to check for another process called exefile.exe and abort the load, but it doesn't.

UI issue: why does the Actions arrow show up when there are no actions that can be applied. Or; why are no actions available. For example, load up the market and type in "zyd" in the search box. Then press the (i) to get at Zydrine information. There is an arrow at the top middle of the box above the letter Z that you can hover over and it says "Actions" but click on it to your hearts content and nothing happens. Now look in your Items and pick an object you have something of. Right-click, show information, now hover over the arrow and click and you get a bunch of options appear including: Add to Market Quickbar, View Market details, Buy this type, etc. The add to quickbar and buy this type should be allowed on all views of items... or remove the arrow when you can't use it.

Look at your wallet icon (don't open your wallet... just hover over the icon); it shows let say 5m isk. Then go into the market for an existing order you have, or buy something. Then go back to your wallet icon... guess what it still shows: 5m isk. Now click the icon and the (resource wasting) animation counts up the amount of isk... and magically you've got less (or more) isk. Close your wallet and hover over the icon and it still shows the wrong amount.

Another Issue I've gotten sometimes is when I'm selling an Item out of My Cargo Bay and the Server gives Me the Message after trying to sell It - "XXX is BEING selling".
(We might want to make the Statement read - "XXX is being Sold /Or/ XXX is selling")...
Now I understand that not everyone's native Language is English but that said - I HAVE chosen the "English Version" in the Client, and so Edits to Game Messages like this should be done so that the Messages are as accurrate and concise as possible (No matter which Language is applied to the GUI).

The first window opens and shows pretty static graphic, then it seems to start the second thread and immediately ctd so no chance to log in or anything. So - would be nice if something meaningful was displayed on the guest.
Oh - and a forum problem. Why offer the "quote" or "reply" options if you haven't logged in; clicking them just seems to loop back to the same page where you still haven't logged in so you still can't post. Just have the "log in" button shown on the top of each post until you've... logged in...
Ran the log server and *magically* eve now starts. So tried to quit the log server but that hangs
Pressing one of the Smilies in the forum makes the edit window jump back to the top - though pressing space or whatever makes it continue from where you were. Very disconcerting
And then... having pressed update on my edit, guess what:
"No Thread with this ID This thread does not exist."
For some reason the forum is trying to append &page=2 to the URL and that causes the (incorrect) message above. Manually removing the &page=2 to the url on getting this message gets you back into the forum.

Just had a response to a petition I filed. Please create a bug report. No thanks CCP GM... why don't *you* do that since I've *already* reported the problem to CCP. If this is the only way things are going to get fixed then fine... give me a nice pretty button next to the petition response that says "and now transfer all this info into the bug database". Don't expect me to manually type it all in again; I've hit the problem, I've typed it all in once.

Get an item in your inventory to place a forward buy order on; e.g. trit. Right-click on the item in inventory and select "Buy this type". The buy pop-up box appears. Click Advanced. Now select the drop down box for Range and notice that only Station is available (at least to me with my skill level). Now close that box and right-click on the item you have again in items and select "View Market Details". Up pops the market for trit. Now Choose the right-hand box "Place Buy Order". Go into advanced (if it starts in simple) and select the exact same drop down box... magically you can now place orders at pretty much any range you like including region, 1 jump, 10 jumps etc.

I've bought a new ship but I'm a few hours from being able to fly it. So I assemble the ship and it gets the name "Zakgram's Pilgrim". So I think right-click and "Change Name". Up pops the name changing box so I type in whatever I feel like, then I press Ok. "You can only change the name for ships you are piloting". If this is the case then remove the "change name" from the drop down list... not exactly hours of coding.

If you're logged in you'll be shown the notes but if you aren't your system will spend ages refreshing a blank screen while it generates a longer and longer URL that isn't ever going to work. Notice that it's repeating, and continually appending, the same SID. I suspect it's trying to bounce me to some login page but failing and so just keeps on doing the same.
Hah - just discovered if I start replying to a topic and then open another browser window, go into the forums, click log out in that window, then come back to the first window and press "Post Reply" then it does the same repeated spamming long url mess "Please wait" in the title bar.

Alliance people are screaming about a bubble and massive camp outside our outpost. I warp in to a safe spot 160km away from our outpost cloaked and all I can see is the station - no one there.
"No says I, nothing here, station clear". Alliance members then undock and promptly pop.
So I crawl 20km closer to the station (now 144km away) and *magically* a bubble and lots of [-] type appear in front of me. Grrrreeat. Much "thanks zak" ensue.
Remove the station if I'm off grid so I know that I'm not seeing everything properly, or make the grids bigger so that we see things properly!

The forums don't appear to be able to wordwrap properly. The url a couple of posts up causes the entire page to become massively long. Go try it in the sandbox - create a few normal posts in a thread then post a massively long url in and watch the entire thread start to look very untidy. I've hacked apart the url so that it makes this thread readable again.

Whats with overview? Sometimes it magically appears to minimise itself and when I open it up a briefly see lots of red flashes (i.e. hostile) that then vanish a second later. The thing is - are they really there? I.e. are they somewhere in system and it's up to my client to hide them (and that's failing), or is it that they're cloaked ships nearby (same problem) or is it just random junk that overview is displaying?
