Hi all,
Ran a 'Angel Cartel Prison Retention' combat site last night. The first 3 rooms were easy, kill frigs with lights, pull range, deploy sentries and watch local.
This is my fit below:

However, when I came to the last room, room 4 I got wiped very quickly.

4 Stasis Web towers and 5 Tackle frigs.
As soon as I entered the room, I dropped my sentries, popped the 4 Towers. But before I could pull range, web/scram/dead.
Should I be refitting before the last room to these lows?

The new plan would be as soon as I land, pull range ASAP from web towers (32km range), engage 100mn and kite incoming frigs. THEN pop sentries and work my way though?
Anyone Solo'd these in a Ishtar?
Is refitting for max tank before entering a HARDEST room the norm? I thought you just have your mission fit and stick with it.
Haven't done much PVE previously and don't have the skills to fly a Tengu.
Thoughts? |

try an active fit with X-L shield booster. Those fits can tank even the guristas 10/10 while webbed to hell |

Hmmm, active tank aye. So I guess Ishtar + Angel NPC's + 8/10's = End of passive tanking.
For Hi End sites I should be looking at active tanking the Ishtar. Shield or Armor? Shield gives me way better DPS. |

For angels definitely want a shield tank. If it was say sansha or blood raiders you'd probably want an armor tank. |

I also plugged into EFT the DEFENCE for Angel NPC rats.
Previous fit sustained a defence of 340.
New fit sustains 371 (Bursting to 635 for 6 mins)
So new fit gives more DPS, more TANK, lower sig but cost 70m more.
What are your thoughts? Going about a Ishtar active tank the right way?
