After updating the client I use on Chaos. I get some error messages when I start the apps and allso on character menu. allso when entering space. After entering space, the game crashes to desktop.
Is patch 1283-1284 F.U.B.A.R??

I dunno, is it? Did you bug trap it with the lbw and reported it?

Exactly the same problem as Hamr' - guess it's a dodgy patch although there did appear to be some people on Chaos so maybe it's something more machine specific.

I can't play either.
First I get an exception (at the EULA or login, can't remember), then at the character screen, then EVE freezes (doesn't CTD) before showing my ship in the station.

... I get exception at the EULA, another on character screen, but then can log in ok.
... Except the Fitting screen has been broken for me since 1283 so can't do anything worthwile :/ (the module layout circle is shown in the upper left screen corner, and most of it is out of the screen O.o)

I saw the errors too. (Requires that you actually have "Show Error Messages" turned on in prefs.
But nothing critical about it for me. Seemed to be running fine.

Still broken? That's why I wanted 1284

i have the same problem since the last patch 1283.
I cant use the fitting screen. The game crash if i try to open something in the market or if i try to undock. This didnt change with the new patch 1284. |

I had the same problem and the game wont go fullscreen, stays at windowed mode whatever I try, maybe thats the problem.
Some dev probably accidentaly deleted a line in the code...

Same problem here... Eve crashes when entering space. I also get those error messages in the EULA and when I choose the character.

Stays windowed, and fitting screen wont load.

The fitting screen does load, it's just offset to insanity  I can partially see 2 modules in the top-left corner of the fitting screen. The fullscreen bug is really annoying

Upgrading from 1284 to 1285 does not work as the file in the patches is apparently not available though the link is there...
