Adding some answers to questions that didn't get answered in the old thread.
Originally by: Therem Harth I don't know if it's by design or not, but fanfest packages are no longer on Icelandair website(s), the "form to contact Icelandair travel agents" has been assuring me that "personnel has been notified" about Error 500 it generates on submit, for about a month now, and it is not possible to reach Icelandair reservation phone in Sweden from abroad, at least if you want anything else except listening to Swedish-only recorded announcements :( email to Icelandair gets replied with a week's delay saying "please call reservation agents".
Can some kind soul (kieron? Wrangler?) clarify some simple things here maybe?
- is Icelandair package deal from Stockholm still on? - are the Loftleindir (sp?) and Nordica full up or there are still rooms? - what are the alternative suggested hotels/whatever accomodation, if any, if my friends and I have to go book everything separately and not via Icelandair?
Many thanks in advance
The Fan Fest package from Sweden was sold out, but is back again. Though you will be staying at Loftleidir and not Nordica. As kierons top post says, it is nearly sold out so you better hurry. You can find the packages on this page.
Originally by: ObiDoom Kenobi Do you guys have any indication of attendence yet?
Yes, we do. Let's just say it's around 500, players and others included.

We will have our own bar. And this is Iceland, you don't need to worry about the bar running out of beer.

Originally by: RealLiveGirl Hi guys I just tried to buy a ticket, and it looks like it went through... but no email, no confirmation page. Does this usually happen or should I try again to buy another?
You shall as soon you have bought the ticket receive a email holding your order number and confirmation number, plus number of tickets you have ordered etc. With me it took less then 5 minutes to get the email. If you paid by Visa etc. you should wait an hour or two, and while you are waiting, check your spam filter etc. just in case.
You should reveive it tho. if not, I guess you will have to contact [email protected] (I think...)
If we're talking about the Fan Fest package (Flight and hotel) you would have to contact Icelandair customer support, our GMs can't help you with that stuff. If you're talking about the Fan Fest access pass, you need to contact [email protected].

Originally by: EFS Manager I looked at booking the travel package about a month ago, but sort of did not get round to it. Now I go to book a travel package from The Netherlands, and it links me to an iceland air flight booking portal.
The other country links take me to a fanfest package booking portal.
How do I get the fanfest package from The Netherlands now?
Thanks,
EFS Manager

Originally by: Skarsnik While I think on.. One question if someone could tell me. Whats the best way of getting from the airport to the hotel.
Taxi, Bus service, Train even?
Thanks to anyone who can let me know.
The Flybus takes you to the BSI (bus) terminal where you can change to a bus which takes you to the Nordica, or you can get a cab from the terminal. There's a bus schedule, and they leave the airport in connection to arriving flights. The current schedule is only valid until Oct 29th but I guess a new schedule will be put on the page Eris linked above after that date.

For the love of god, don't take a taxi unless you're seriously rich.
I made that mistake last year - was ~ ú80.
Flybus is probably the best option, should be about ú10.
The Flybus seems to be the best solution really. The price for the bus ride is 1100 ISK. The bus will then take you to Keflavik Busterminal, which is a 50 minute ride from the airport. maybe it will even pass Nordica Hotell too. I dunno. But from The bus terminal it should be easy to take a local bus to the hotel.
Yes, sorry if I was unclear, don't take a cab from the airport, definately take the flybus. You can take a cab from the bus terminal in the city to the hotel though, or just get on the bus for the hotel.
Last I checked the Flybus was 1100 ISK.

Originally by: EFS Manager I checked the package, but it now seems that we are not at the Nordica anymore :(
The packages for the Netherlands are now at Fosshotel Baron. Seems like a rather big pain in the arse to travel back and forth every day between the Nordica and Baron. How far are we talking and what sort of transport is available there?
Cheers,
EFS
I believe the Nordica rooms are sold out. The Fosshotel Baron is about a 30-45 minute walk from the Nordica. I'll check if there are shuttles going or if you'll have to get a cab.

There is apparently a bus station close to Hotel Baron, and the bus stops at the Nordica. The Park Inn is walking distance so very close to the Nordica.

Originally by: Niccolado Starwalker Guess that means I will be banned after the first day then. I have got a special trained liver ready for this fanfest, ready to hold infinite ammounts of Icelandic beer!! Unless that is, if the GMs get so drunk themselves that they are more then willing to overlook my Bree Hax0r exploit ofcource
Maybe it would be best if we ban you as soon as you arrive, I'll remember to pack handcuffs.

Originally by: Niccolado Starwalker im arriving on Wednesday the 8th november. I hope to have a walk to the CCP to get a photo of me outside it :D
So if you are a Dev and see a frozen Norwegian outside your building someday on wednesday/Thursday, feel more then free to invite him for some beer in your HQ
Or maybe we will call the cops and report voyeurism.
Originally by: Skarsnik I can pisture it now, me at the front near the stage screaming like a demented teenager, - worst bit would be me throwing my underwear on stage

Originally by: Niccolado Starwalker Wrangler, any posibility for getting/making name tags at the FanFest? Makes it easier to know each other
You could always get a pen, some paper and maybe scissors and make your own nametag.
