Hey Guys,
i am just starting to get some PvP experience, so i am a pvp noob. Once weekly i take part in a frigate low sec roam, but besides i am trying it solo. My Skills are concentrated on amarr t1 and t2 frigates at the moment but i can also fly all other races t1 frigates at lvl4 (just lacking of specific weapon skills for them). I have checked several requests and threads over the internet but amarr frigates are commonly less or not mentioned there.
So i am asking you guys now for any recommendations for ships and fittings.
How i get my fights till now: Roaming the FW low sec and scanning the plexes to find victims in t1 frigates with my Punishers and Navy Slicers.
[Navy Slicer] Damage Control II Heat Sink II Nanofiber Internal Structure II Overdrive Injector System II Small Anci Armor Repper, Nanite Repair Paste
Limited 1MN Microwarpdrive I Warp Disruptor II
Small Focused Pulse Laser II,Scorch S Small Focused Pulse Laser II,Scorch S
Small Energy Locus Coordinator I Small Energy Locus Coordinator I Small Energy Locus Coordinator I
Pretty much a standard kite fit, but feels kinda not working with my active hunting style. Would probably work better when waiting in a plex for incoming enemies.
[Punisher] Small Ancillary Armor Repper, Nanite Repair Paste Damage Control II Adaptive Nano Plating II 200mm Reinforced Nanofiber Plates I
1MN Aferburner II JB5 Phased Prototype Warp Scrambler I
Small Focused Pulse Laser II, Scorch S (or Conflagion S or Imperial Navy Multis) Small Focused Pulse Laser II, Scorch S Small Focused Pulse Laser II, Scorch S Small Energy Neutralizer II
Small Energy Collision Accelerator I Small Trimark Armor Pump I Small Trimark Armor Pump I
Durability seems okay for me but the damage and cap are a bit lacking. Problem is most enemies escape from me or i get f*cked up by Tristan or Incursus Brawlers.
I am asking for ship and fitting recommendations, but i am also open for tipps on tactics, hunting strategies, etc. |

Chessur certainly makes flying a slicer look easy. There's some good advice and tips in his videos.

3 Locus rigs seems a bit overkill. Only use would be kiting beyond 24km with your point overheated and hoping that you're outside your opponents range completely and that you can get the kill before you burn out your point. It might make a nice fit for pvp video's where the opponent never gets the chance to apply dps but if you come across anything faster than you (fed navy comet) or you don't have the range from the onset of the fight you'll be lacking in dps and reps to keep up. Some may dissagree but I'd recommend a damage rig and rep rig.
And forget the punisher for solo roams. 2 mid slots make for a crap brawler setup. Web/scram passive tanked Tormentors are a much better option.

Here's some Amarr T1 frigate fits I fly in FW low:
[Tormentor, Rhea Scram Kite (Wow)]
Small Ancillary Armor Repairer, Nanite Repair Paste Pseudoelectron Containment Field I Heat Sink II Adaptive Nano Plating II
1MN Afterburner II J5b Phased Prototype Warp Scrambler I X5 Prototype Engine Enervator
Small Focused Beam Laser II, Imperial Navy Multifrequency S Small Focused Beam Laser II, Imperial Navy Multifrequency S Small Focused Beam Laser II, Imperial Navy Multifrequency S
Small Energy Burst Aerator I Small Auxiliary Nano Pump I Small Polycarbon Engine Housing I
Hobgoblin II x2
Tank is abit thin but massive dps.
[Executioner, PvP Long Point Ab]
Small Ancillary Armor Repairer, Nanite Repair Paste F85 Peripheral Damage System I Heat Sink II
1MN Afterburner II Faint Warp Disruptor I X5 Prototype Engine Enervator
Small Focused Beam Laser II, Imperial Navy Infrared S Small Focused Beam Laser II, Imperial Navy Infrared S Small Focused Beam Laser II, Imperial Navy Infrared S [Empty High slot]
Small Transverse Bulkhead I Small Transverse Bulkhead I Small Transverse Bulkhead I
This one looks abit weird but it's basically an anti-ab brawler fit. Executioner is naturally very fast and most brawlers/scram kiters can't hit past 10km, with this fit you pull range to about 18km where you can still apply 100dps and heat the web and use it defensively as they try approach you. It also has a good chance to chase kiters away since you can apply dps to 20km well. It will lose miserably to Mwd/Scram/Web brawlers though but those are actually very uncommon in lowsec.
[Crucifier, PvP Solo]
Small Ancillary Armor Repairer, Nanite Repair Paste Damage Control II Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II
1MN Afterburner II Warp Scrambler II Stasis Webifier II Tracking Disruptor II, Optimal Range Disruption Script
Gatling Pulse Laser II, Scorch S Gatling Pulse Laser II, Scorch S
Small Auxiliary Nano Pump I Small Polycarbon Engine Housing I Small Polycarbon Engine Housing I
Warrior II x3 Hobgoblin II x3 Hobgoblin II x3
Scram kiter with a TD, can also easily beat/push off any turret based long point kiters, very fun ship but is a little tougher to fly well.
[Magnate, PvP]
Small Ancillary Armor Repairer, Nanite Repair Paste Damage Control II Heat Sink II Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II
1MN Afterburner II Warp Scrambler II Stasis Webifier II
Dual Light Beam Laser II, Imperial Navy Multifrequency S Rocket Launcher II, Caldari Navy Inferno Rocket Dual Light Beam Laser II, Imperial Navy Multifrequency S
Small Ancillary Current Router I Small Ancillary Current Router I Small Auxiliary Nano Pump I
Hobgoblin II x3
Having trouble getting fights? Fly a Magnate and everything will fight you! Extremely unexpected but actually a very powerful frigate considering it gets no combat bonus. It's once again a scram kite ship, gets 160dps at the edge of scram range (which is actually very respectable), decent speed and decent tank.
I didn't include the Punisher cause it's really lackluster for solo, 2 mids means it can't really hold anything down and it's also slow which makes it even worse. If you like the Punisher and really want to fly it, I suggest a kiting fit to catch people offguard since it's actually not too bad in a kiting setup (like a crappier Slicer) and it makes up for the lack of 3 mids. Something like this:
[Punisher, PvP Kite?]
Small Ancillary Armor Repairer, Nanite Repair Paste Nanofiber Internal Structure II F85 Peripheral Damage System I Heat Sink II
Limited 1MN Microwarpdrive I J5 Prototype Warp Disruptor I
Small Focused Beam Laser II, Imperial Navy Ultraviolet S Small Focused Beam Laser II, Imperial Navy Ultraviolet S Small Focused Beam Laser II, Imperial Navy Ultraviolet S [Empty High slot]
Small Energy Locus Coordinator I Small Energy Locus Coordinator I Small Polycarbon Engine Housing I
That's it, hope it's helpful. If you have more questions shoot me a mail in-game. |

Here are some other good fits too:
[Tormentor, PvP Brick]
Heat Sink II F85 Peripheral Damage System I Small Ancillary Armor Repairer, Nanite Repair Paste 400mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates I
Experimental 1MN Afterburner I J5b Phased Prototype Warp Scrambler I X5 Prototype Engine Enervator
Dual Light Pulse Laser II, Imperial Navy Multifrequency S Dual Light Pulse Laser II, Imperial Navy Multifrequency S Dual Light Pulse Laser II, Imperial Navy Multifrequency S
Small Ancillary Current Router I Small Anti-Explosive Pump I Small Auxiliary Nano Pump I
Warrior II x2
Tanky brawler, a little slow, but excellent tank and dps and can project to 9km with Scorch. However its very tight on fittings so you need almost perfect skills to fit it or you can give up the nano pump for another ancillary current router.
[Executioner, Tackler]
Small Ancillary Armor Repairer, Nanite Repair Paste Damage Control II Overdrive Injector System II
Limited 1MN Microwarpdrive I J5b Phased Prototype Warp Scrambler I X5 Prototype Engine Enervator
Dual Light Pulse Laser II Dual Light Pulse Laser II Dual Light Pulse Laser II Small Diminishing Power System Drain I
Small Transverse Bulkhead I Small Transverse Bulkhead I Small Transverse Bulkhead I
Here is a tackle Executioner for use in gangs, it's quite fast, scram web for holding targets down. Hull tank cause that's the best way to get some buffer on your fit to actually survive for your reps to kick in while not giving up any speed and retaining full tackle. Also good for mwd gangs where you just dogpile onto targets.
That's covered most of the fits I'd run with the Amarr T1 lineup. |

No worries mate. If you want help on solo tactics or how to fly these ships and strategies etc just ask questions here or you can hit me up with an in-game mail if you prefer. |

To confirm Dato's posts, the answer to almost every "what amarr frigate do I use for pvp" question is Tormentor
Except kiting. Kiting not so much.
Posting from phone so cant copy fittings over, but if you feel like you can eve mail me and I can send you in game fittings for pretty much every version I have flown. I freaking love the Tormentor in low sec.
Dual reps, brick tank, standard pulse pew pew, beam torm...so good.

Yeah Tormentor is generally the best option for Amarr T1 frigate PvP. 3 mids + 4 lows + 2 drones gives it alot of versatility in terms of dps, tackle and tank options. It doesn't get a utility highslot but 3 midslots is far more valuable than a utility highslot in lowsec FW frigate warfare (I'm looking at you, Retribution, Slicer, Wolf and Punisher).
However Executioner is definitely underrated, it's got excellent cap stats, respectable dps and quite good fitting as well. Most importantly it's very fast which can win you alot of fights if you know how to use the speed. I've had great success with the ab + long point fit I posted above, it's abit unconventional so it catches people offguard but it's has a wide engagement range as well as alot of GTFO ability. |

The Slicer is defently the fav frigate right now. I mostly fly beamslicers but also started out with pulse. Most of the time I think beams on a slicer are far better than pulse.
The range is way better and the volleydamage also. With the speed I get like 3.9 km/s w/o heat or imps. My staying power in fleet battles is also amazing that combined with a shooting range of up to 50 km
Downside is someone who can close in fast to you is a pain the cap issues you will have after a short time and the aditional manually piloting you will have to do to get smash hits.
I am at phone so can't post a fit will post one later. |

Slicers are not good for solo because everyone knows your fit the moment they see you on dscan.
Chessur's vids are all from nullsec with idiots who charge into 160 dps scorch in paper ceptors. We should all be so lucky.

Not good? Yeah for sure flyn slicer isn't as easy as it looks when chessur is showing it. Especially his fit doesn't allow much error margin.
But bad for solo I can tell that is not true. I mostly fly slicers solo and got vy now over 300 kills with it and most of them where solo. |

Anti slicer for example to get two or three good shots in before they do and then dive in to hold point. Gamma is for slow brawler where I can easly dictate range or kiters that work on the same range. X-ray for faster brawler where you need to be on your toes for slingshots. Gleam for close drones or for emergency when getting caught. Aurora to make damage when you fight on far range and gettin to close might kill ya like caracals Or killin off escaping enemys. Ultra violett can somtimes be useful if targets attempt an escape.
Edit: Also if I am undertracking disruptor with optimal range script it helps. |
