I talked to one of the star fraction pilots the other day who was very friendly and they seem like really nice people if I was going to change my corp I would look at them for sure. I think about trying roleplay but my writing skills aren't as good as what I read on the other forum do you require people to post alot or can they be silent members who just fight and have fun? If I don't have really good fighting skills can I still help out or would I be useless to you? I'm not looking to change right now but maybe later on so just checking.

Edited by: Pride NL on 08/05/2007 00:09:20 Ive been scimming the replies and sites and such, but is RP manditory? Where do you fight most of the time (deep space, low sec, empire)? And is the Star Fraction just for Caldari (would seem so, but just asking ).
If RP is manditory, and one has no experience in it, can he still join?
And if its Caldari only, is that a limit to the ships as well?

RP is an interesting topic, some do a lot of it, and some only do it in local. What's more important really is an understanding of our ideology as it does guide both our Rules of Engagement and the reason why we fight certain people. Most of the time its empire wars to pursue an ideological victory, but in the long run (maybe 6 months to a year?) we'll probably hit 0.0 again, but we do run into 0.0 whenever we're a little short on targets and need to kill some territorialist pigdogs.
All races can join, what makes you think we're Caldari only out of curiousity? And yes, if you have no RP experience, you can still join (I had zero when I came into it), the key is again knowledge of the freespace ideology and our NRDS RoE.

Edited by: Frygok on 08/05/2007 15:55:49 I have a question, that I think some of you guys can probably help me answer.
I am currently considering going into the whole RP deal. And with me being a Minmatar, UK or SF would be some of the obvious places to apply.
However I have to say, I am a bit confused about the Intergalactic Summit forum. There are some very nasty discussions going on there, and I have to admit I am confused as to whether they are just friendly banter done in a RP way, or the factions actually dislike eachothers as much as it appears. If the latter is the case, I am not sure that the RP in EVE is for me.
I like RP, but I still want to be able to drink beer, and have some nice OOC-chats with in-game enemies after a night of fighting for instance.
Respectfully Frygok.

Let me put it this way, I'd grab a beer with about 80 - 90% of our war targets. Considering the IGS arguments and heated local chat debates, I'd say that's better than most OOC wars .
RP in EVE is ultimately worth it - there will be IC back and forths, long long posts (Jasmine! ), but I've enjoyed my time doing it so far.

Someone asked a while back how we make ISK.
Ultimately it's up to you. We are freecaptains. You are rarely required to partake in any particular activity. We have people paying for their tools of war by manufacturing, by trading, by NPC'ing etc etc etc. I know several of us made a nice haul recently when an Occator pilot (who's alliance had recently fired upon us unprovoked) made the mistake of crossing our path. He had ships, drones, ammo, implants, modules (tech II & faction) and rigs that would bring a billion plus on the market. That's how our bills were paid on that day.
Fat wallets are not required to apply. A tacking interceptor worth a handful of millions is every bit as important as the tech II fitted BS's commanded by our most experienced pilots.
On board for years,
Zane Broohn

Tatsue,
I understand you have your own forums, but I thought that this question would be broad enough and that the supposed answer relevant enough to demand such a public interface to permit my asking it here:
What is the Fraction's presence during US time zones, specifically MST?
Thanks, in advance, for your response!

Tatsue isn't the most active at the moment (due to work), so I'll pick it up.
We have a pretty healthy US time zone, with a decent op nearly every night. Of course, some nights are better than others, but you definitely won't be the only person haunting corp/alliance chat when you are online. __________________________

I certainly disagree! Certainly some fine Intaki, Gallente, Ni-Kunni and Brutor here is well. Not to mention the stinky Sebiestor. __________________________
