Press Release 117.04.09 Sortet V - Moon 1 - Federal Navy Assembly Plant
Yesterday, 117.04.08, security personnel of The Elysion and Repracor Industries thwarted an attack on Lasairiona Raske, the chief recruiter for Repracor Industries. At approximately 22:00 EVE Standard time, Dailar Toralen, CEO and founder of Toralen Industries, and an accomplice confronted Ms. Raske in the conference room of The Elysion. Mr. Toralen threatened Ms. Raske with a syringe that he claimed to be filled with a corrosive substance. Once the threat was established, security personnel moved in and quickly neutralized the attackers. Ms. Raske and the involved Elysion and Repracor personnel were unharmed, nor were any of Zenariae's images on exhibition in the room damaged.
During the investigation following the attack, shards of a syringe were recovered from the scene. The markings on the syringe corresponded to the markings found on pre-dosed medical syringes used for administration of vaccines and antibiotics such as Zemnar. A residue analysis of the shards showed traces of hydrochloric acid. The Elysion's security personnel have been briefed on the improvised weapon. Ulaya Valentin, chief of security for The Elysion, has upgraded the security check protocols to verify the contents of medical syringes.
The Elysion would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone that the safety and comfort of its patrons is the top priority of its staff and hopes that this incident will be viewed as a reinforcement of those goals. Security and safety procedures are always an evolving process, and The Elysion has an on-going commitment to safety and comfort. While the incident did occur in the conference, one of the spaces being used for the art exhibition currently hosted by The Elysion, the exhibition is still open and has not been impacted. If you've not had an opportunity to view Zenariae's photographs, The Elysion invites you to visit; the exhibition is only showing this week.

Was the acid intended to be used on the artwork or on the Staff/Guests?
Moot point I know, but as someone who handles security, on my watch it would have meant the difference between him bouncing or splatting on ejection.

An analysis of the security footage indicated an intent to use the syringe on Ms. Raske.

This is most disturbing, I was unaware of these terrible circumstances as I've been absorbed in producing some new work. I do hope Ms Lasa and everyone is okay. This is concerning as Mr Dailar purchased some works and seemed intent on passing himself as an art dealer to me. I'm wondering what his motivations may have actually been. |

It's the Federation Spy Thriller genre's fault! Their villains always make grandiose speeches explaining their overly convoluted plans before attempting to off the Spy in question! That genre of holo-reels had set a very bad example for all prospective super-villains all over the cluster!

I told her what was in it because I had no intention of using it. This incident was in fact self-defense against Lasa Raske. She first locked down the conference room, switching off the video feed and after a few minutes of discussion she threatened me, and I claimed I was armed with my improvised weapon. She responded by drawing a Minmatar blade and threatening to use it. My supposed accomplish was in fact a contact of mine who had come to put on a display of theatrics to help calm the situation down. This was not the case, as when my associate entered Lasa activated the security footage having us circle her with weapons while she was armed, making it look as though we had made the first move. We were then both littered with bullets without even a chance to explain.
My formal apologies have been submitted to Jeniffer Starfall and most of the major staff of Repracor Industries. And as to Zenariae, I hope this do not disturb our dealings with the art I bought.
We are Toralen Industries. It doesn't matter if you fight for money, idealogies, or because it's what you are good at and it doesn't matter if you fight threw trade, combat, or diplomacy. No matter what or how you fight, there's a place for you.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha, you got played.
1) if you have a weapon and don't intend on using it, shut up about it.
2) If you don't intend on starting trouble don't put yourself in a position that looks like trouble.
3) If you find yourself in trouble, shoot first.
