Preface: I'm not reading this whole thread.
Great post KIAEddz. As you have seen, this is a bitter war. I cannot say I have not or will not CTRL+Q anymore, and that's just being real, being honest. However, I will NOT ctrl+q as a gang/fleet/etc nor have I ever seen that command issued. I will CTRL+Q if I am solo and jump into an ragoon gate camp. I generally give a "hello" and "thanks for the lesson in how to do this" in local. I'm not proud to say I logoff in their camps, nor am I ashamed. I look forward to the resolving of this exploit more than anyone.
Eddz, this war sucks, mate. RA are notorious for their pushing of game mechanics. They're very intelligent and very good at what they do. Imagine our frustration in C-J6MT several months ago. Imagine my dismay when just a couple weeks ago I learned how to get an agro'd character to disappear from space. The list goes on. I've learned a lot from RA and none of which I can say is honorable.
In respects to crashing the node: Again, and not to pet my LV e-peen, I've not heard of anyone in the alliance doing this. I know 2-3 days ago when we had a 120man gang jumped into an RA gate camp, our FCs weren't surprised the node crashed. That's not to say we tried to crash the node but rather understand there's a great possiblity it's going to happen. Likewise, the node came down and we immediately logged back on. This is different from other things I've seen during this war... I've seen nodes come down intentionally to save POSs. As I'm sure you know, a POS resets its shields once the node crashes...
I've taken it with a grain of salt. I think Avernus from FIX is right.
Originally by: Avernus 5. Corps start to bail, individual pilots leave their corporations, alliance numbers drop, morale plummets. Only the diehards are still actually fighting. Decisions have to be made on what to do with alliance funds. Corporations are broke and looking for relief, passive alliance income has dried up and funds are now finite.
- Losses continue to mount up.
6.a) Your alliance dies. 6.b) Your pilots are so hardened and stubborn, they can't figure out how to quit fighting. Eventually, the enemy backs off, and you can begin to rebuild. (However, LV isn't done with RA) 6.c) A miracle occurs.
