I spent the last few days up in Fountain.
I saw -plenty- of Bistot rocks,an ample supply of Hedbergite and Crockite. Even heard rumours there is Arkonor to be found there.
Now, they might be -small- roids and they might not be within 4 jps from a station, but they're there. Problem is, you need a decent supply line and well-planned mining op to take full advantage of those rocks.

23 jps out?
There is a problem with the baby roids, yes. There's megacyte out there, though. And lots of it :)

just curious, but how many bistot and ark roids are there in Jovian 0.0 space? How large are they due to the weird respawn/growth rate? If they exist, are they the reason why Polaris peeps always say "There's plenty of Mega in 0.0 space!! you just aren't looking!!!"
None. Last reports on Jove Space say that the roid belts there are empty. Just like freshly mined 1.0 belts :)

What I think Hellmar meant, is that there's no incentive for people to hunt down and mine the Bistot and other rare roids in 0.0, as they can easily make the same amount of cash, to a certain degree, completely safe in Empire space.
Perhaps if ya'll stop insulting him, he might want to revisit the thread. As it stands now, you are giving him no reason whatsoever to post here.

Edited by: Discorporation on 06/11/2003 18:16:59 Of-bloody-course you get blown up.
An industrial makes a pirates' spider-sense tingle. If they even remotely love player-dropped loot, they WILL kill you just to see what you were hauling..

Well, sorry, tease, but there are a lot of ways to get into 0.0 space
safe 0.0 space (well, relatively anyway).
Lots of ore there too..
