The Villore Accords General Staff has approved, for immediate execution, a system-wide interdiction, blockade, and asset seizure operation inside the Okkamon System. This operation has been designated GÇ£OPERATION ERINYESGÇ¥
Following unsettling Scope News reports of a prototype tech-three destroyer, codenamed GÇ£JACKDAWGÇ¥, GMVA military commanders have deemed the development and testing of this new warship a direct escalation of the Second Caldari-Gallente war, and requires a full retaliatory response.
All civilian vessels and non-combatant capsuleers are hereby ordered to avoid the Okkamon system, as it is now designated a war zone. Any vessel entering the system, regardless of military value, equipment loadout, weapons configuration, or security status, will be targeted and destroyed by GMVA combat patrols.
Once the system perimeter is secured, all planetary customs offices currently in orbit of Okkamon planets will be dismantled and confiscated. The planets will be blockaded and no trade shall be conducted to or from the surface of these planets without GMVA General Staff authorization.
A humanitarian corridor will be established to assist all non-combatant populations onboard the two Okkamon stations and on the colony worlds inside the system. Food, medicine, and basic housing materials will be deposited on-site at regular intervals. Our goal here is not collateral damage, but to secure the system and prevent any military access by the Caldari State or their forces. The Chief Executive Panel must be made to understand their reckless warmongering will do nothing but hurt their own cause.
GMVA will coordinate with Federal Union coalition members to execute this operation. Updates and addenda to this declaration will be posted to this thread.

And it's the State's fault for developing precisely the same technology as the Empire and the Republic and managing to do so slightly faster than the Republic, which has also let slip that it's working on a new ship class?

But yes. Clearly, the State is evil and deserves punishment for investing more in research and development than the Federation, which somehow manages to suffer from its peoples' notorious lack in interest in furtherance of the national good. Funny how not having a strong concept of citizenship will do such a thing.

That said, I wonder, Soter: how prominently will your name feature on the blueprint of the Hecate? Did you care about the research needs of your Federation when the call was made by your beloved nation, or did you only start caring when it allowed you to make another grand pronouncement about what really is business as usual? I ask as someone with contribution credit to both the Confessor and Jackdaw, who answered the call of not just the State but its chief ally.

Unlike perhaps yourself, and your organization, I was engaged in combat with the Chief Executive Panel's military forces for quite some time during the 'tech race'.
Given the lack of direct military support to the Caldari State find the pretension you hold of calling yourself the 'chief ally' of the Caldari State rather quaint. I reminds me of a few other "Caldari Loyalist" organizations about a decade or so ago. The vanished without a trace as people woke up to their grandstanding.
If you wish to demonstrate your own grandeur you are by all means invited to Okkamon to observe our military capacity first hand.

Soter, you might need to work on your reading comprehension. By chief ally, I of course mean the Amarr Empire. Please do reread the statement I made.
That said, for one who finds the development of advanced technologies a great and threatening thing, it's increasingly hilarious that your name will likely not feature at all on the list of supporters for the Gallente initiative.
And yes. I will happily fly around Okkamon in a Jackdaw once it becomes available, laughing merrily all the while. I wonder if your blockade will last 'til then.

As much as I support a peaceful solution to the ongoing hostilities between the Caldari State and Gallente Federation, the military situation on the ground and in space is very clear. The Caldari are rearming. It is our hope that a demonstration of strength in the Okkamon system will force the Chief Executive Panel to reconsider their continued war effort and come to the negotiating table.
