Edited by: Zaethiel on 29/10/2006 10:48:58 have you tried any games other than eve? If the problem persists throughtout other games its a computer problem or network problem. Also maybe you can get their tech support to help you =) . 14 day trials ftw.
Also you don't happen to be on a University network? I know some Universities block some things. I had a problem about a year ago connecting to a friends vent server bc the port was 1337. _________________________________________

I bet still that yours is an MTU problem. I do let all ICMP etc thru of course but some ISP's are just braindead and block necessary ICMP.
Try to set it to 1400 and see if it works, 1380 if it work. If 1380 doesn't work then you have some other problem.
1454 is pretty usual one, comes from legacy ATM crap.

Finally managed to find an intelligent guy at my ISP customer service, who asked me for the gamename (!), server ip, port, told me to try and connect to game, viewed my network, and said they will "give priority" to this addrses. Now I am no network administrator, but it sounds to me like they have a wide range port block which they're going to open up for eve. He said it would be 24 hours or so, so it's back to waiting.
Turns out this indeed was the problem, and that my ISP was blocking certain port ranges on occasions to reduce network load (though they still claim they merely 'gave priority' to eve server/port). Either way, this works for me as I can now play my favourite game again (yay) :D
Thanks to all who offered ideas and possible solutions. I really appreciate it

First run it..and block all processes from comming up your screen without that you did anything. When the screen is calm boot up EVE.
You can now see what its trying to do. Perhaps its trying to acces something your pc doesnt alowe.
Hope it helps. And if it does i dont want your money :) Just want you to be able to play agian.
