It's that time again, on November 12th races are to be held for all players to take part in. There will be no entry fee and the prize stands at around 50mil so far. There will be a non warp race around a landmark somewhere in the eve galaxy in high security. All ship classes will be allowed to take part with prizes for each class winner. Plus a warp/jump race around a constellation for interceptor pilots.
More details will follow...
We need pilots and sponsers to help make this event come to life, if interested mail me in game or reply to this post with questions.

why are these things always in high sec? i can never go to them

They don't call them a 'race' for nothing.. I read somewhere that statistically, people are 94% more likely to swim faster when being chased by bullsharks. See what i'm getting at?

Have the race go through a few 0.0 systems. And be sure to publicly advertise them a few days before.
Now THAT would be fun.

with instas it kind makes it pointless to race dont you think or will you be banning use of instas if so i might join in on this

However a Tech 1 Industrial Ship Demo Derby would be fun, though it would probally be a long fight.

I agree, there's no way to verify who has instas and that would make the race pointless. Perhaps you could anchor cans at 15km from the gates and require the participants to drop a note on each can "I was here". Or retrieve an item from the can, then the winer should present the items at the end as proof that he completed each checkpoint without using instas. |
