I would love to get an SMS, "notify - training of blah blah to blah has been completed" or "Notify - Your POS in blah blah is under attack"
probably not too hard to do. Or?
anyone else want this?

In terms of training, you can set up EveMon to send you an email whenever your skills finish training, then set up that mail to forward the messages to a phone.
That's it, though.

I can just see myself ni a theatre, watching a new movie, when I feel a buzz in my pocket. I look at it, and see a new text message. I work through the menus, then I say to my friend "Gah! I have to go, I just finished training Learning to lv5! I need to set another skill!"

The new version of EveMon can email directly to your phone, you just need to know your phones sms address. If you can receive text messages, then you have one.
for example, mine is areacode/[email protected]
EveMon sends within 5 seconds to the phone.

nah but seriously... i understand that some play this game like a full-time job, but before such planetarion-like, player-enslaving tools get implemented, i'd really prefer to improve the game itself.

One thing I would like to see is a web client that lets you access some of the high-level stuff (skill training, email, market orders). It would be handy for folks who spend a lot of time on the road and dont have a way to fire up the eve client to check on random stuff.

All this is in development thats allows you to do basic stuff within eve, it will be in the form of a java game.
