errr drake will probably cost about 50m day one, due to the fact theyll be un researched, price will drop to probably 30-35 ish once some researched bpos come out. ---------------------------

Edited by: Spei Prodetor on 29/10/2006 02:33:10 un researched based on current build costs your talking an actual cost of 34mil give or take to build one with average skills. If they cost more to build increase price accordingly.

And to answer your question:
Those are built into the Drake's model. Launchers still have no visible model.

The insurance for one is around 40mil (can't quite remember) so I doubt it'll drop to 30mil. It'll probably stay expensive for a while anyway, with the whole supply and demand thing. Everyone is gonna want a new BC when Kali arrives, and with the Drake being...well, awesome(Devs flying Caldari? What? Absurd!) , it'll probably be priced at a higher level than the others. -------------------------------------

Edited by: Nisse Owned on 29/10/2006 11:12:24 Well it would still look really nice if the launchers could be visible Though it will probably be too much work making hardpoints on every ship
Edit: To add a bit more, the missiles could use a bit of improvement on the bling bling, a bit more speedup time on torpedos for example, aswell as giving the bigger launchers a bit more "whooshy" sound so they sound heavier than a rocket launcher

Not the mention the way it is now with missiles spawning from the centerpoint of ships. They'd probably have to change it so that each individual missile would spawn from it's respective launcher. I don't know how much work that would be, whether it would be prohibitive or not, just throwing it out there. --------

Edited by: Nisse Owned on 29/10/2006 11:17:49 Yeah missiles coming from the centerpoint is also something that needs a bit of work on Another bling bling thing with the missiles could be that they got a nice model, like the missile flying out of the launcher and then wings on the back of torpedos for example open and so... we could always dream about nice new stuff

Oh yea. Have torps do that thing where they drop out dead for a split second then the engines fire. Ooo, would look so sweetness. --------

It wouldn't be prohibitive at all, or at least no more prohibitive than showing turret effects. Chances are, if you're using "Level of Detail" settings then the only ship launching missiles from different points would be the one you're currently looking at.

By calculating the Drake's material cost at its base mineral requirements (as I understand them), it will cost about 43.2 million isk per ship. (<----That is using average costs of minerals.) If the person builds it at the perfect mineral requirements it should cost about 39.4 million isk. This is just my basic estimates. However, we all know that these things will probably be selling for about 50-70million isk on the first couple days. And people will be willing to pay it because its the new "uber-missile-spammer."
If you are interested in buying one of the first day, contact me ingame (sorry to OP for the shameless plug ). Fleet Admiral |

I'm willing to pay!
Well, willing. Not able
But yeah, looks like the price will be around 40-45mil isk once the "z0mg new ship!" period is over -------------------------------------

Well it might be nice if they could make it to kali 2 or something, even if its alot of work it would add alot of realism. The guns look 1337, why shoulnt the missiles?
