Can anyone point me in the right direction to look at ideas and examples of good loadouts specific to the Wolf and the different roles it is best suited for in a PVP situation?
...or if you are willing to discuss this here, I would be most appreciative.

I'd say get a Jaguar. The wolf looks too... "weak" on the tank part for me to be willing to actually take on in pvp.
Yay, my first "FIRST!" post, and not a particularly useful at that either! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I be needin' some sig love. *sigh* |

Wolf is fun, Jaguar more so though. If your using a wolf, try:
High: 4 x 280mm II Artilleries Med: Webber, 20km Disrupter Low: Small Rep II, Tracking Enhancer II, Gyro II, Cap Relay or something else that fits. Lots of fun for ganking stuff, can kill frigates and ceptors in like 2 volleys with good hits, though you are pretty immobile.
High: 4 x 200mm Auto II, 1 x RL II Med: Catalysed MWD, 7.5km Scrambler Low: Small Rep II, 400mm Rolled Tungsten plate, Gyrostab II, 1 x Something else (Can't remember what i have fitted, i'll need to go find where I parked it :S)
Good thing about the Wolf is you can get away with using autocannons without a web because you get a massive 10km falloff using Barrage ammo with AF level 4, and machine guns are cool -----
Hi TUXFORD! Blasterboat for tier 3 Gallente battleship please! Make it look cool too. Thanks.

Seconded. I used a wolf for my first bit of PvP, and well, im just lucky most of them apparently weren't fit to take on small things. lacks anything remotely tanklike and is too slow to catch a lot of stuff. and you already are hard pressed to tank in it with just your nos, just one enemy nos and you'll be pushing daisies.
Switched to jag. Much more viable and catches most targets. Then started flying Ishkur and ran into the problem of stuff dieing before I got there....

How do you maintain range with the first one and cap with both?

Not bad setups, though personally for arties (which I think the Wolf is best suited for tbh) I like
2x 280 IIs, 2x 250IIs
2x Webber
1x SAR, 1x Energized Kinetic Membrane (think it was energized..) and 2x Gyro IIs.
You will need Electronics 5 to fit that though.
You don't need a scram btw, in most cases I one-off the inty.

You don't maintain range? Infact, you hope that the enemy comes into web range so you can splatter them :P
Also, you can run the 7.5km scram indefinately even while nossed, with Propulsion Jamming 5, it costs like 3 cap to activate the scram, just keep spamming it and you will always scram. The 400 plate on the second setup is usually more than enough to let you kill something with your auto's even without repping.
Nothing is perfect, it just so happens with minmatar ships that Cap capacity is never usually maintained, at least you can still fire your guns and stuff though :P -----

BTW Baz to fill in your auto setup I think the last slot was/should be a Damage Control :) (and drop to 150s if needed for fitting, also a Nos would be good if you can "drop" to 125s/150s to fit it)

Jag is better suited for solo play than the Wolf, but i prefer the Wolf when im in a gang tbh, it deals much more damage.

The best PvP loadout for a wolf is...
Repackage, sell, buy Thrasher.

.. which would be the total opposite of their boni, but hey... ^^ i mean... a wolf with barrage (t2 AC) ammo and a tad bit of gunnery skilling can start poking well at 10+km just via the falloff improvements. there isn't much more distance possible with arties - so, if you like mixture if kamikaze and russian roulette, the wolf is perfect: either your relatively huge DPS rips your victim apart or you can't catch it - nothing in between

Yeah the optimal bonus should go on the Brutor ship (Wolf) ala Muninn and the Falloff bonus go to the Thukker ship (Jag) ala Vagabond.

I like my bonuses as is =)
Wolf with AC's and barrage, hitting out to 15k or so, yes please. Jaguar with arty, a good tank, good speed and huge damage mod, yes please.
Or change it around. Both ships work with either AC's or Arty really well, so leave them as is.
