Hello,
After years of assisting various new player focused alliances across EVE Online's 10 year history, Pandemic Legion has decided to begin one of its own. With that said we are happy to announce Pandemic Horde, a new player focused alliance that is supported financially and educationally by Pandemic Legion and Waffles.

What is Pandemic Horde?
Pandemic Horde is a sister alliance to Pandemic Legion, much like Waffles is. Our goal with this group is to not have it be a stepping stone for someone to simply progress into Waffles or Pandemic Legion, though that could happen. Instead, our goal is to have Pandemic Horde thought of more so as a training ground, a dojo, or a State College where the various members are learning off one another as well as the members of Pandemic Legion and Waffles.
The goal is to get every member, regardless of if they're a two day old newbie or a 3 year PVP free veteran, that comes to us as much education in an area as they are seeking. Pandemic Legion has been around for nearly a decade and Waffles have been around almost as long, which has resulted in both groups offering years of in-game experience and knowledge.
Pandemic Horde's Structure
As with Pandemic Legion and Waffles, Pandemic Horde is an FC focused group. The FCs bring the content -¦nd the c-+ntent brings the new members. There are no requirements or processes to be appointed an FC, it is simply a matter of if you want to lead a fleet, you can lead a fleet. You simply need to step up and FC as long as people are willing to join your gang, everything is hunky dory. FCs are free to experiment with doctrines and choice of targets as well since Pandemic Horde are only blue to Pandemic Legion and Waffles. It is up to the members to decide which fleets are worth their time.
The alliance is not simply a PVP playground however, as every EVE player needs to make ISK somehow. We run classes and host Q&A threads as well as provide guides on how to make the most ISK for your effort to feed a PVP lifestyle. Our hope is, with these tools and information, each member can become financially self sufficient with their income.
Currently Horde are staged out of HED-GP, a Nullsec system in Catch that is close to Hisec and has seen numerous amounts of fighting within the system since the alliance has set up shop there.

This location is also ideal as we are able to easily facilitate logistics such as ships and ammo, as well as find PVP content for the new players. The benefit of being in Nullsec also allows for our members to make a fair bit of ISK doing PVE activities such as Ratting, Exploration, and even some aspects of mining. We also run a Buyback program for any and all PVP and Exploration Loot picked up.
Because of Horde's current home being in Nullsec and mechanically under Pandemic Legion's control, it is important to note that Horde does not pay rent to PLGÇÜ and makes the protection of it assets its own responsibility. This partnership with PL also allows new players to be on the PL side of a massive fight when the opportunity calls.
We also run the "Adopt A Newbean (Newbie)" program. This is a venue that allows new players to be paired up with an experienced PL or Waffle player to then learn from and pick their brain a bit. It is done to help maximize the compatibility so that if a new player wants to learn about Exploration, they get paired with a PL or Waffles member who does exploration.
Several of our members also have been running educational streams on our alliance Twitch.TV channel (linked at the top), as well as putting together tutorial videos on our YouTube channel (linked at the top). This in turn acts as a mutual benefit to the greater EVE community as this information shouldn't be restricted, but should be freely shared with any player looking to learn to improve their understanding of how the game works.
What about PVP Deployments?
Whenever Horde pilots -¦re empl-+yed to support PLGÇÖs fightsGÇÜ the Horde members will simply be asked to move their pods to the staging system and be ready to form up a doctrine fleet. All doctrines to be used will be sorted out logistically by the directorship as we know the woes and headaches of moving ones own assets across several regions. We are doing this to simplify the process of getting a Horde fleet to a location without issues. Make no mistake, p-¦participation-+n to join do these are voluntary and are not required.

do you accept old players aswell? I haven't played seriously for quite a while and I've never done much pvp, now that I have a bit of time to play I returned to EVE and I'd like to start "clean" and learn to PVP effectively.

Ive heard a lot about the Pandemic Legion! One of the top alliances around! All good stuff... well... depends on which side your on! ;)
I would be very interested in joining the ranks of the Pandemic Horde to get back into the swing of things. I used to be an oldskool player (2004-2007 with Celestial Apocalypse). Im a old player but with a new character and a lot of things have changed since ive last played so would be good to play with some experienced and up to date players :)

I do have a question though.
I can only play about 2 hours during weekdays, ~4 hours on weekends. Could still join under the time constraints I have?
That's the only reason that I could think of that might restrict me from this Alliance. Other than that, I would like to join.

Totally didn't rejoin after I was done helping my Dust bros in Molden Heath.
Not at all.
I wouldn't ever think of joining a corp that offers this much fun and support to newer players who want to PvP.
And our glory Thrasher roams totally aren't entertaining as hell.
Seriously though, its a great place. Glad to be back, hope to see more new people here. I still learn a lot, and I'm just past 5 Mil SP, heading into Interceptors, Stealth Bombers and Assault Frigs.
For anyone thinking about joining, just go ahead and do it. Show up with nothing but a pod and an open mind. If it isn't for you, no harm no foul, just go back to whatever you were doing. But you might find that you enjoy the freedom that Null-Sec provides, as well as the PvP experience and friends you can make in this environment.

The Horde has had very many fleets in the past few days! Secret Santa was also a great success involving many billions of gifts spread out amongst the crew! If you are interested in a fun content filled alliance this is definitely the place to be! |

Why you should join Horde:
1. Horde's home of A2- is by far the most violent nullsec system, everyone goes there for fights and Horde accepts the challenge.
2. Horde's industry is very organized, you can find any commonly used ship on contract fully fitted.
3. Horde is often FC'd by very skilled players from Pandemic Legion, so welps aren't that common.
4. If you're a newbie or wanting to fill your knowledge gaps, Horde has lessons daily and a chat channel dedicated to you. You'd easily find someone willing to give advice or help with anything.
5. If you're a veteran, Horde now flies battlecruiser fleets regularly and working their way up. Your blingy ships can be supported somewhat well. |

Lots of talk about horde is about how it's good for new players. I'll leave that alone and let you know that it has been a great place for me as a returning player, and it might be for you too.
About me: I've played EVE on and off. I've been in E-Uni where I learned about many of the mechanics in EVE and have had some experience as well (i've lived in a WH for a little bit, high-sec wardeccing a little bit, missions and all that jazz) but honestly never got to try all of the mechanics that I learned about in my uni days over the years, I learned about hictors tacking fleets and supers but never experienced it.
Currently my character has been in Pandemic Horde for 7 days. In those 7 days I've seen more action than all previous time I had spent in EVE. I've been on nearly 300 killmails (would have been much more but I decided to try flying logi for the first time on a few of the larger fleets) including t3 cruisers, faction battleships and capital ships totaling 37~ billion isk in damage.
What I've done so far:
- I've been on a couple fleets to successfully protect a pos. I've been on one that didn't.
- I've been on a couple fleets that successfully destroyed a pos and defeated the fleets that formed up to stop us.
- I've jumped thru wormholes all around New Eden in a fleet of interceptors and t1 frigs, fighting the locals that were forming up to defend their space.
- I've gotten to use a titan bridge to jump in and reinforce an active fleet during battle.
- I've roamed around with Has Cashmonies as he warps his carrier into randoms systems in the surrounding null and low and sits on someone's undock in it seeing if he can kill people with his drones (he got dooms day'd when he warped to someone at the sun in that thing, lol.)
- I've been in fleets that have been the target of multiple failed bombing runs, and have managed to kill or point at least a handful of fail bombers.
- I've sat at a stop bubble in a small gang knowing we wouldn't catch anyone at it, but we knew that once our neighbors scout the bubble they'd form to fight us (took about 15 mins before they already formed up and came, lol)
- I've given nullsec anoms a try for the first time.
- I've scooped some dead rattlesnake's geckos
As a returning player, I understood that these sorts of things were happening out there in New Eden. But I didn't know I could be a part of all of it at one time. Not only is it possible, I'm up to my eyeballs in it. If you're a returning player looking to get a more exciting and content-rich EVE experience than what you left behind last time, this might be worth a try. Joining is very easy. |
