If the planets revolve, why do they not orbit their star like they would in reality? Perhaps I am wrong but from what I can tell, they do not move and locations stay in the same place... It would be fantastic and ultra realistic if these bodies moved location in realtime on the map and in system as they would in reality. Something CCP could implement or too difficult math to throw into the mix?
Also other astronomical bodies like comets and meteors too... just as a thought.
I miss some of the older intro/login screens & music, couldn't we have an option in the settings to chose our default?
Where are the texture graphic and physics updates for T3 strategic cruisers!! no love for us and I love and main my prot *cries*
I have constantly been trying to figure out if resource caching within the client settings actually does anything? I never notice any difference in experience or performance (in-game or of my machines resources). Why is it there?
When I come out of warp and slow to sub-light then approach, sometimes the station (or object or field) hops back then forward by about 30km as if I am lagged or something... is this position latency or something difference in co-ordinate data between client and server?
Has anyone encountered any black-hole or singularity phenomena in EVE, do they exist in the mechanics? The element and presence of gravitational forces. Perhaps a weapon that could create such an event? It would be interesting from a scientific point to see how CCP would approach this for the explorers.
I wonder when we will get a more improved in-game web browser experience (like being able to use youtube) - I play in full screen.
the loud-speaker talking audio outside the stations... and every now and then when docked ... why? HAHA!! |

1. Why bother with Planetary motion. We are going to warp to the station every time anyway, and one can say that an effect of the warp field which limits our sub light velocity also allows for 'matching' the major body on the grid, which eliminates any velocity issue. It's not going to add anything to the game really, and real time updates will add significant lag, even if it was a once a day update it's going to add massive recalculation time and absolutely rip the entire bookmark system apart. |

Read a trashy novel to have "light thoughts" when your head is clear pretend to sleep, eyes closed, dark, quiet environment and breath as though you are sleeping. Have a routine and you can put yourself to sleep anywhere with training. (Admittedly, I was sleep deprived when I went to sleep in a night club but it was hilarious because my friends weren't sure if I was dead and shouldn't touch me (could happen in Johannesburg))

While it would be kind of nice ... ... it would also confuse everyone.
Moving bookmarks... gee, rather not.
And yeah bookmarks would have to rotate around the star as well ... ... else it's pointless to have most of them and you end up in a belt at some point.
That's game breaking.

CCP announced that moondoggy (the IGB) will be removed alltogether at some point in the future, so it won't get any love. We are encouraged to use overlays (like overwolf) to integrate webbrowsers with the game. I have to admit that the reasoning for this decision is sound. Had to abandon my hopes for launching eve from the bootloader someday as well. |

Because it wouldn't add anything meaningful to the gameplay. Imagine EVE had real orbital physics - that would mean the planets would mve around the sun, but it would also mean that moons would orbit the plnates, POSes would orbit the monns, and then there is stations/gates and POCOs, all orbiting things as well.
And you would need to navigate this crap. Let's for a moment assume you would have the same navigation controls as now. The first problem you'd encounter is that for long warps to 0, the station or POS would have moved away significantly until you land there. Once you enter grid, you might need to turn on your prop mod just to "catch up" with the sttion and to dock.
In 0.0, bubbles would be obsolete, or they needed to move around, too. In that case, you would need to redo the whole navigation, and would need to switch to a physical correct model, which allows for inertia and so on. You would need to manage your own orbits etc.pp. In short, the whole game would become Kerbal Space Program. That is fun, too, but simply way ut of scope for EVE.
So that's why e don#t have it. It doesn't add compelling gameplay to EVE. |
