Indeed, I insisted on it as Ifni has a thing for KB stats and started the numbering discussion. But ey, a closer look down the list indeed show few killmails that dont belong on that list (bb, impel and nemesis). Good Lord, numbers do like DNA again.
Indeed, I do have a thing for numbers. However as you so correctly said, I started the discussion about numbers of kills. So let me end it.
As for validity of killmails, if a person is involved in damaging a ship immediately before it explodes, then I figure it has a place on our list.
