The UKC has decided to open its doors to players from all nationalities and across all time zones as a result of our changing roles and continued growth in the eve universe. As we are now very firmly a 0.0 corp we have decided we need more coverage in other times zones to help us grow further and we wanted to enrich our corp with players from other cultures. Life in 0.0 as part of LV is hard but rewarding, only the best need apply - we set a minimum standard of 5 million skill points since unless you feel you have something unique to offer us, you wont have enough experience to join our team or contribute properly to LV objectives.
If you are interested in joining one of the best teams in EVE then check out our website UK Corp
About the UKC? The UKC is a medium to large sized corporation currently comprising of 150 active UK based players and an expanding US player base. Member activity is very high - peaking between 30-50 members most evenings and all weekend. We are extremely well organised, enthusiastic, energetic and passionate adopting a role-play 'ranking' mentality. We are one of the founder members of LOKTA VOLTERRA. The UKC is a multi-facetted corporation with several divisions within the parent corportation. The structure is fluid and ensures that all the needs of the corp members are catered for. There is a strong forum culture and we only recruit members using voice communications (Team Speak).
Please checkout the following posts below to find out more about the UKC and why you should sign-up..
What type of member are we looking for?
We seek players from any time zone and all nationalities provided you speak and type good English. Only mature players prepared to take responsibility for being part of a corporation where your gaming style fits with your fellow members need apply. Joining the UKC demands trust, integrity and being active. You may be a new player or experienced - but more importantly, understand (and except) the concept of team play. The use of voice comms is mandatory and a forum culture exists to ensure all members are involved in corp activity. A good sense of humour is essential and the respect for your fellow members goes without saying. Our role-playing 'rank' structure is fundamental to our core values and culture - so it is important that you are comfortable with this. The main thrust of our recruitment is to ensure we find the very best members prepared to rise to the UKC challenges, live in 0.0 and make our mark on the EVE Universe. We do not recruit pirates, smack talkers or idiots. We believe there is more to EVE than just killing things.
We do not accept ALTS and any members with more than 1 account are expected to bring all accounts to the corp. If you are a team player and accept that your actions have implications on others û and you have the intelligence and maturity to understand what we are attempting to achieve û then you are right for the UKC.
If I join - where will I fit in? Joining is reasonably straight-forward -- graduating is another matter. We try to be thorough but fair, ScreenShots of your login characters and Skills will be required as well as competant use of TS.

The roles of TI are as wide ranging as it is possible to be within the industry side of EVE. TI responsibilities include looking after our masive network of POS's, keeping the corp supplied with all ship types, populating the markets in LV space with T1 and T2 mods and ships and of course mining lovely high end ores to make loads of iskies. If you are an industry oriented player then you'll love TI. Corperation Managment (CM) - CM ties the corp together by looking after everything not specifically covered by either SF or TI brief. This includes recruitment, promotion/demotion, moral and any other issues which come up within the corp. This is the place to be if you love the people side of EVE.
What will be expected of you?
Only active members will be accepted. You will be expected to organise and participate in corp operations, joint missions and in-corp organised events (NOT just mining). To keep you and the corp stocked with ships and modules, you will be expected to partake in a weekly mining op (someone's gotta pay the bills). This is also part of developing the culture of teamwork - if you're not prepared to put aside 2/3 hours a week to support the corp and it's membership - then you should not read on. Once into 0.0, the early team-work grounding and culture will make you realise why we make these demands in the early days.
You will be expected to manage your own funds and you will be given a 'role' to play within the corp depending on your rank, role, ambition and skills. New members are given the option to 'buddy' up with existing members to help the transition and on-boarding process. Use of voice comms is mandatory and a web-forum culture is all but mandatory (that's how you know what's going on). The recruitment process is described here and may involve a voice comms interview, Board review and possible security clearance. All applications are triggered by our forum registration only and could possibly take up to 1 week.
How do I join?
The sign-up process is a simple as A,B, C and can be found here. Alternatively, for more information contact Gr4h4m, or Joseph Dredd in game.

Edited by: Joseph Dredd on 02/11/2006 07:36:01 The UKC Management, Style and Culture
The managers of the UKC are mature, dedicated and passionate about the UKC. The CEOs and Directors are very active and take part in all aspects of the corporation development. Each divisional manager has earned their æpipsÆ by demonstrating their ability, maturity and overall commitment to the UKC strategy, game-style and culture. As the corp expands and develops, more management posts are being created. The UKC operate a ranking structure to ensure that UKC perks, privileges and discounts are fairly spread across the corp.
The UKC motto is ôCamaraderie, Integrity, Excellenceö. We want to be the best at everything and where we canÆt be the best we will work with others that are. Our team spirit is unmatched in terms of dedication to the corp and fellow members. The role-play means everyone has a part to play - everyone fits in and everyone has a goal to achieve.
Joining the UKC means that you have read, understood and accepted the UKC *About the UKC * Charter * Strategy * History
We are determined to have fun û but we are equally determined to create the best corp in EVE. Our forums are intelligent - it's not a '**** & giggle' club, no flaming and no senseless, childish and unreasonable behaviour.
What do we do? A week in the UKC is very very busy. Depending where and which division you are based in will depend on the activity. In 0.0 we are constantly on the go - forming fleets, hunting down hostiles, camping gates/stations and playing with bubbles and POS's We have access to the some of the richest (and toughest) NPC hauler and drone spawns - not to mention the high end ores in the belts. Our Alliance is strong, commitment is high, numbers are amazing and our objectives are clear. We have our own Capital Ships and CapShip BPO's to ensure that our longivity is preserved.
If you want to be busy, if you want an objective, if you want to be part of something special - then you should join us. If you just want to float around aimelssly - don't bother.
Whats' in it for you?
New members will be seconded into the UKC departments depending on their skills, aspirations and UKC needs at the time. All new recruits will start at Rank 8 where they will remain for a minimum of 28 days. The UKC has an impressive organisational structure taking full advantage of the in-game mechanics and allowing members to quickly develop. Roles, responsibilities and ownership are fully delegated to those that want it, follow UKC charter and adhere to our rules and conditions.
You will be given the necessary training, support and guidance in preparation for your adventure to 0.0. Once there you will have all the fun that EVE was meant to be. Witness and be part of large fleet ops, defence and offence tactical situations, fly with experience pilots and commanders, defend and attack POS's and conquerable stations, fly with Dreadnaughts, freighters and large battleship fleets - you name it.
How is the UKC structured?
The UKC has formed a number of 'departments' to concentrate in certain aspects of the corporation role-play. The UKC is a 0.0 based corporation offering EVE in all it's glory to our players. The UKC is 'role-played' around a RL corporation management structure with clear roles, responsibilities, strategy and direction. Our ultimate goal is to become the biggest and best corporation in EVE and eventually move on to forming our own alliance a goal which we are proud to have achieved with our partners in LV.
The departments:
Security Force (SF) - This is the combat wing of UKC and our SF pilots are dedicated to PVP. As well as fielding regular BS fleets the UKC specialises in support and intel roles where our exellent team work and discipline enable us to achieve incredible results. The SF partake in all kinds of PVP from large fleet to black ops behind enemy lines. If you like PVP then this is the place to be!

I joined the UKC after only one week of playing eve and I have not looked back since. From our early days as a small empire corp we have grown to one become one of the founders of LV one of the biggest and most powerful alliances in eve. It has been a fantastic journey; full of great challenges, many ups and downs and I have loved every minute of it!
UKC pilots have always been a special breed, with a devotion to the corp and its goals that is unsurpassed anywhere in EVE. When I look back at what we have achieved in such a short time it never ceases to amaze me. The reason for our success is simple; we work as a team in everything we do.
I have always thought the purpose of a corp is to have goals and achieve things impossible to achieve on your own and UKC epitomises this belief. There are no selfish players in UKC, you will not make billions if you join us, but you will get to play with some super people and have a huge amount of fun doing things you never thought possible.
For our size we pack a mighty punch: Our fantastic TI team runs as many POSÆs as corps twice our size and produces huge amounts of mods and ships for member use. Their success has enabled us to provide free replacement ships, large stocks of mods and low price T2 equipment.
Our SF has time and time again shown their quality in PvP. In UKC we specialise in the support roles and our teamwork, discipline and dedication have resulted in some very elite squads. Our Valkaries (elite covert-ops team) is regarded as one of the best there is and in our many fleet PvP engagements our support ships have made the difference between a near victory and complete dominance. The CM department gels the whole corp together allowing us to work as one big team rather than 2 separate departments. They ensure only the very best players get into the corp and are the reason we have so many fantastic players which its always a pleasure to fly with.
In UKC we reward effort and commitment and no position is taken for granted. All our senior players continuously earn their position and gracefully step aside if RL or motivation starts to drop. This ensures that the most positive, committed players lead our corp and is another reason for our continued success. I myself worked up the ranks from lowly one-week-old newbie to Co-CEO and am an example of what individuals can achieve if they want to put the effort in.
Our expanding the UKC to allow other time zone players is a really exciting step in the history of the UKC and I am really looking forward to welcoming many new players from many different cultures.
Although we have exceeded all the goals originally set out by our founders we continue to push the bar higher and higher of what we want to achieve. There is still huge amount to do and many challenges await us. Let the good times keep rolling!
Have a look at our website and if we seem like your kind of thing then apply to join us.

I first joined UKC in September of last year and throughout the highs and lows that you inevitably get in EVE, one thing has always remained constant: Camaraderie, Integrity, Excellence. It's not just a phrase we throw around idly.
There's nowhere I'd rather be.

Ive checked the original forum rules;
Use this channel for alliance and corporation recruiting announcements or to ask recruiters what their requirements are. This is the only channel where recruiting is allowed.
Remember, this channel is for recruiting only. It is not an open forum for discussing the merits (or lack thereof) of a corporation or any of its members. Keep posts on topic.
Trial accounts cannot post to this forum.
and the follow up rules;
The folowing bumping rules are in effect immediately.
* Bumping is allowed only by the character who started the thread. If you use another character you will get warned.
* Bumping must consist of a real sentence, not simply the word "bump". For example: "Recruitment still open" is an acceptable bump.
* Bumping may only be done once per day. Once per day means that the date has to be differen't on your post. If you bump 2006.07.15 then your next bump can only be 2006.07.16 and then 2006.07.17. It doesn't matter when during the day you bump, as long as the date is one day apart.
- regards
So I fail to see where the transgression is. We are not discussing the merits of the corp nor 'bumping the thread', nor is the OP using an alt.
Certian members may be guilty of putting forward positive d=statements regarding their experiences of the corp, (which I would endorse), but there is no discussion and no 'bumping' by the op or his alts.
The only discussion appears to be an off-topic one between you and me, and then only really if you respond.

Ladies and Gentlemen of the Eve world.
My name is Flaetriu and I am a active recruiter for the UKC looking for specialist characters that the Corporation and the individuals themselves could benefit from each others hard work and fun. However, I am not looking for that person today but a gentle reminder of our recruitment drive that this Corporation is undertaking at the moment.
I have been in the UKC for just 3 months and it being my first experience of 0.0 space, I am fully enjoying my life there and no regrets what so ever.
All I ask is that you read our Links above and hopefully UKC could be your new home in the Eve World.

This is the rule I was trying to point out. afaik you can only bump a post (by anyone in your corp (out of corp ones are allowed, however I don't know the rules for alliances.)
Essentially if you have 40 people in your corp you can bump it with happy messages 40 times. Where as corps with 5 or 6 could only do it a few times.
If I've miss read the rules then fair enough, but for me it clearly states 1 corp related bump of any type per day.
