I was just looking at stats from the test server trying to find something of value with the Hyperion...
In almost everyway it is inferior to the Mega as a blaster platform. So I thought to myself? Well maybe this is like a tier 1 1/2 BS for mineral reqs... that would make sense because of how oviously inferior it is... So I looked up mineral reqs to get an idea of how much it would cost...

Haha, it will cost about 20% more then all the other Tier 3 battleships in game... making it the sub-par megathron you pay twice as much for, lmao.

I wouldnt worry too much about it mate cause when kali arrives all Gall ships will be useless and everyone will be flying Caldari.

The nerf lvl on Gallente isn't even fair... it is just out right malicious. I was honestly shocked with all the changes.
Numerous devs post about Domi/Ishtar PG/HP/Cap issues... justifying them with the fact that their use of ECM balances them out... which was fair
Now... they nerf ECM with no change in those ships stats...
Finally give the Deimos more PG and kill blasters...
Introduce a tier 3 BS that is worse as a blaster boat then the megathron...
Give us another weak drone boat for a tier 3 BC knowning ECM was being nerfed..
seriously the mineral reqs on the Hyperion makes it just retarded... hahaha!
In regards to your comment about everyone flying Caldari... I honestly like the other races new ships/stats. Not just the Caldari ships... Tux just wanted to truly crush Gallente pilots I guess... Seriously just hammer almost every major Gallente ship in game...

It's mmorpg, all you need to do is have a freighter, carrier, hauler & pos with you.
Let me explain: hauler for gallente/amarr cap charges, minmatar ammo pos to rest your alts there carrier to refit drones
It's nice to play Caldari-online. Remove flashes from capital torps.

Also i belive you would need 2 Haulers- 1 for cap charges and the other for ammo.

Its ironic that you guys can think the nerfs to gallente are unfair when you at the same time realize that the game is mostly about caldari and gallente. What about the other 2 races?

It doesn't make this insane amount of nerfage "good" or "right", though. Minmatar have problems that should be fixed. Amarr have problems that should be fixed. These should be fixed in ways that don't include buffing Caldari and nerfing blasters.

Note, too, that I'm *****ing about blasters, not the Myrmidon. While I think the Myrmidon is a pathetic excuse for a ship (while the Drake = godmode), I'm more of a gun guy... my peeve is the blaster issues.

I think blaster cap reduction (and pulse laser cap reduction) would be a marvelous idea.
Unfortunately, Oveur seems to LIKE the idea of gun ships running out of cap in the middle of fights.

I dont fly blaster ships, but nobody ever complained about the cap use before the hp boost. Now that ships will have maybe twice the amount of hitpoints, you are saying that you will use all the cap charges and still not manage to kill the opponent? Is this really truthful? Im not saying it isnt, im just asking. Because they still have the same amount of cap. They just have a larger shield/armor buffer.
Besides, its not all golden for the minmatar either since alpha strike now doesnt really mean anything in combat. And I dont think they will boost its damage to previous levels. I think its more likely that artillery becomes like railguns... which is kind of sad. I hope im wrong.

Can we get Cap Booster Charge size also reduced by 50% to go with the HP boost? Or maybe a 50% boost in Cargo Space? (65% boost for Minni, because as it stands, theres barely enough room to swing a cat in there.)

Yes, absolutely. Especially when fighting a passive bonus-ed ship [, and/or in small fleet fights]. Anyway, people definitely complained about it - they just made do with their stack of cap boosters and got used to having to restock a whole lot. The power was good enough to server as a trade off for having to deal with it. Now, bringing a blaster ship into a small fleet battle might spell disaster.

They are lasting longer, which means that your guns are running for longer and you have to tank longer. Because tanking AND using blasters (in the case that I'm whining about here) takes so much cap, the high cap use continues throughout the fight.

I hope you are wrong as well - my whines are REALLY short-range biased, however. I haven't even begun to think about long range, since the whole definition of "long range" is changing anyway, it seems :|

The problem with that idea is that sometimes the speed advantage of minnie ships doesnt mean anything, unless you want to turn the ship into some circus horse with no armor and just orbit at 3k /sec like with the nanophoon.
Unless you do that, going at 150 m/s or 130 m/s hardly makes a difference, unless you can stay out of the opponents range and bombard him from there, without him warping away. Currently thats mostly something that happens with Rupture/Thorax, but hardly ever with Tempest/Megathron because of the game mechanics.

I have read on another blaster post that it does continualy runs outa cap charges and then cap b4 fight is over even with a large secure can handy.
And yes I do realise that other races will suffer though mainly Amarr and Gallente and to a lesser extent Minmatar but as i am a Gall pilot it will be the one I comment on.

The advantage may or may not win a fight...it may even be the factor that decides if there is even a fight at all. Try not to look at only one aspect of it. The Vagabond is awesomely popular, might it be less so if it wasnt alone with a velocity bonus?
For the sake of argument, a Tempest after my idea, having BS 5 and Nav 5, would go 218.75 m/s (with nothing fitted), 234.375 for the Typhoon, 257.8125 for the Hurricane, and 500 for the Rifter. The Fenrir would get 125 .
